Arcs has a good looking space board, but my favorite racing in space game, Powerships, has a pretty dull looking board. It has unusually shaped modular tiles though. Does that count for anything?
@@TheCardboardHerald Sorry but… “Life” was overtly sexist? The players picked a pawn that was blue or pink according to their own gender, but was there anything in the rules than penalized a player based on the color they chose? If you call something “sexist” you’re asserting that people are disadvantaged unfairly or judged adversely based on their sex.
Sol: Last Days of a Star has a great looking board, albeit a simple one (basically just a star/sun with some concentric circles.
Oh man, yeah I read Cole Wehrle’s write up on that game and it makes me want to play it so bad.
Thanks for the overview! I do have a space board recommendation: Empires of the Void II. Looks amazing on the table and oh, btw, it's a blast to play.
That’s a great call!
If you've played it, how would you say this compares to Fast Sloths? It looks like it's a more streamlined take on that idea.
Honestly, I have not played sloths; fast or otherwise.

@@andrewp3043 haha, truth. When I was making this vid I actually thought of Arcs as an exception, Apiary too.
"stale, boring, and overtly sexist"... you decided to play that card for no reason, did ya? FFS.
I get what you’re saying but I think it’s a pretty good natured dig at games like “life” or “what shall I be”. Either way, thanks for watching!
