“There's a difference in the morality [of today]. I don't want to be embarrassed when I go to see something on the screen. I don't want to listen to foul language, watch a lot of violence or see something immoral. I prefer stories with sensitivity and family values; films that strive to lift you up to a higher place in life. Those types of films are few and far between today. As a result, I seldom go to the movies.” - Debra Paget… watch my Howard Hughes video next “Howard Hughes k!IIed by the elites? The billionaire death clause!”

Whoa! 🤯 Great observation of Debra Paget and Priscilla Presley. Priscilla REALLY did look like her. Maybe Priscilla was Debra's replacement. 👀 Nonetheless, the similarities between Debra and Brooke Shields are BEYOND disturbing! 😢 I'm grateful Miss Paget is STILL with us. She's a fighter. ❤

@@user-jp1zs8wy5n lol I love how you just confidently made up the part about the flesh colored suit. *Asked about her skimpy dance costume in Lang’s THE INDIAN TOMB, she says it was stuck on with “a marvelous glue called UHU.” This amused me because I grew up with UHU and never appreciated its marvelousness fully until now. “In fact, we used to call it ‘the UHU movie’ because earrings were glued on, everything was glued on!”*

She was playing a seductress. So it was appropriate for that role. The most famous child seductress was Salome from the Bible. There is a movie about her and famous, classical paintings of her.

❤ Thank you for the in-depth information that you provide on the Actors whose experiences in the limelight are rarely known.
Having the protection of her mother being there probably was necessary to protect her from being abused or molested by powerful, corrupt, or cruel individuals who could have ruined this naïve young girl if she didn’t have her mother’s protection and guidance.
As for marrying Elvis Presley; she evidently dodged a big bullet since his life was plagued by scandal and rumors of substance abuse and marital infidelity.
The best part of her story is in seeing this woman’s talents displayed in so many projects that enabled her to shine in spite of the obstacles, challenges, and stiff competition from other ⭐️ stars.
Knowing when to walk away from the spotlight is probably one of the best things to happen to her too, giving her the chance to do something different to define herself as more than just an Actress. Here’s her well deserved praise 👏🏾and 🌷🌼🌹🌺flowers 💐 from a long time fan.

THANK You for doing deeper research and bringing forth better insight from the " Golden Era" Your videos keep getting more layered and interesting!!! Thank God this one held on to her sanity and left that Dark place. Growing up in Miami, so broke i depended on PBS, and watched masterpiece theater on Sunday nights religiously. I grew depressed from all the murder mystery shows, although although they had great actors. Inspector Morse, Poirot, Prime Suspect etc. It seemed to always revolve around the same theme. Uggh, you can understand my disdain now, because its so Hard to find wholesome shows with good messages. ❤

In those days the age difference was not a big deal due to culture and tradition. According to scholars, in biblical days the average bride was about 13, and the groom was about 30. It was believed back then when a young lady started her period she was ready to wed and have babies. Now that there are laws in place and culture changed we see things quite differently. My very own grandmother got married at 16. To them this concept was customary, some even deemed as holy, not alarming like it is today.

Absolutely. Romeo and Juliet were 14. People had children at that age since they usually died by age 35. 35 was considered very old and the natural human lifespan. Modern medicine has greatly extended lifespans.

I think the big age gap was so widely accepted back then and even now in certain countries because girls didn’t have the ability to build a life for themselves the way they do now. Plus, let’s be honest daughters are often used to a family’s advantage in many different ways, especially monetary.

Great presentation on Debra Paget. I've seen some of the movies you mentioned but had no idea she was that young. I agree many of the actors during that time had very little say so on the roles they portrayed. Those studios basically owned them. It's really not that much different today, the optics are different but underneath the surface they still hold a great deal of power over the actors in the industry. Another suggestion, I think Paul Newman and his wife Joanne Woodward would be interesting. They were an extremely attractive couple. They did a few films together plus their story might be an interesting project. For Debra Paget 💐💐💐💐💐
