The Graphic Novel 'Paper Girls' Springs to Live-Action in a New Series

BGN interviews the cast of the new series 'Paper Girls' based on the Brian K. Vaughn graphic novel of the same name.

In the early morning hours after Halloween 1988, four paper girls-Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ-are out on their delivery route when they become caught in the crossfire between warring time-travelers, changing the course of their lives forever. Transported into the future, these girls must figure out a way to get back home to the past, a journey that will bring them face-to-face with the grown-up versions of themselves. While reconciling that their futures are far different than their 12-year-old selves imagined, they are being hunted by a militant faction of time-travelers known as the Old Watch, who have outlawed time travel so that they can stay in power. In order to survive, the girls will need to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other, and themselves.

What a wonderful interview, loved each one of your great questions! The cast seemed super comfortable too, you gave them a lot to have fun with and think about, thank you so much! I'm a big fan of the comics and I absolutely loved what they did with this adaptation, they did a wonderful job with the character development and how to take advantage of some of the inevitable limitations. The girls couldn't be more perfect for their roles, they're so intelligent, talented and charismatic! Kudos to not only Brian & Cliff for the original work, but also to Chris and everyone else involved in bringing this fantastic story to life 💗

I am now a new subscriber after seeing your interviewing. I'm so glad you were able to give then a proper interview 😊. They gave well thought out responses. Although it will be compared to Stranger Things my understanding is that the graphic novel came before Stranger Things. Hoping they all have great careers what ever they choose in their future.

I'm watching with my oldest daughter she's 20. I'm enjoying the delivery of the storyline by the entire cast and glad the Directors are getting their chance to shine ( see IMBD). This Halloween will be the year of Paper Girls and Batgirl ( we know why) costumes for solidarity.
