I used to be really allergic to cats too. Then we found our first 2 kitties abandoned by their mother, they were around 3 weeks old. Ever since then we have had many cats(all rescues) and never had another allergic reaction. So happy you took these 3 in. Absolutely adorable together!!😻😻
My mom is also allergic to cats and she used to despise them, but since she knew my little sister absolutely loved them we got a black one we named Dante when he was a baby, and we’ve got him for nine to ten months now. He is kind of an arsehole, he hates everyone except my little sister lol. We then adopted an albino one named Caesar who we’ve had for like almost a month now. He is the most lovable, kindest and cheerful cat I’ve ever seen, and I love him a lot. Then my mom adopted one she named Chester and she absolutely loves him. He isn’t even a month old and he is a little rascal, but she fell in love with him and ignores her allergies to take care of him and cuddle him.
Exactly how I got my 3 cats. The first was a stray, the second my husband rescued from a shelter, and the third was found by a friend. Got all three in just 4 months. And the third one’s (Mouse) nickname is Mr Meow Meow 😆

This women is a saint lol. She's allergic to cats and she is still willing to take them in. A lot of ppl wouldnt do that bcuz they dont wanna deal with the symptoms of their allergies. I mean understand if its severe allergic reaction, but if they can tolerate it, that's amazing. It brings my heart so such joy to see ppl like her and her roommate take in so many cats. Too many ppl abandon them or are very cruel and it's hurts me very deeply....i Love animals and they can bring so much love in your house, especially when you form a special bond with them, there's nothing else like it, in the world. Same! I'm allergic to cats, too, but I've had them as pets for over 30 years now. I mean, my reactions are pretty mild, really. Nothing like anaphylactic shock-level reactions. I've learned not to rub or touch my eyes w/o washing my hands first. When scratched, which _will_ happen with cats, I have to immediately wash the scratch thoroughly with soap & water, then apply cortisone & antibiotic creams. If I don't, even the slightest scratch gets seriously itchy, swells up, turns an angry red, & will develop into a rash. Very uncomfortable, but hardly life-threatening. I react similarly to dogs, too, but at about half of the severity level that I do w/cats.
This is beautiful- thank-you for moving past your fear of allergies. I had a best friend who was allergic to cats but my husband at the time wanted them so she just came over all the time and they started to wane.- I think love beats everything.

Good for you. All rescuers and rehabbers are awesome! This is exactly how I ended up with 17 cats, 3 dogs, 5 rats, 3 snakes and a guinea pig at one point!
I am *SEVERELY* allergic to cats-- BUT it doesn't stop me from petting our family friend's *3* cats whenever I go over their house. As long as I have some Benedryl I'm good.😂 Their cats are 2 parents and their son, and with the son as soon as I sit on the couch I pat the couch and he jumps up on the couch to get his pets and hugs. Then his parents will get jealous and come visit me for their pets and hugs too lol. There have been times where I've been a sneezing, itchy eyed mess while 3 cats are climbing all over me.😂
I had a cat who insisted on falling asleep with his head against my carotid artery. It was actually kind of comforting for me. A purring pussycat is the best sleep aid
As sweet as it is, allergies can be serious! It's better to call a vet or some authorised professional to foster and care for the kitten, but prolonged exposure to an allergen could be dangerous. Props to the woman for doing it anyway
I pray her allergies don't get worse. I lived with a cat for 6 months, got so sick near the end. 35 years later I am still severely allergic to cats. A couple of years ago I bad reaction and I couldn't see, my face and eyes were so swollen, trouble breathing etc etc. Nightmare.
Just because the cats are adorable. It is so hard to send them to shelters after taking care of them for some time. They just like their children. Wishing the owners living happily with the 3 cats.
@@Hathur Please be careful giving medical information on the internet. Allergies, like ALL medical conditions exist on a gradient. My nephew has serve asthma and pet dandruff allergy, to the point of needing an Epi pen. Just smelling cat/dog saliva can trigger it. People treat him and his parents as though they’re “inconveniencing” them and being dramatic. The nerve of those people, wanting their child to survive, or at least avoid another hospital stay. This is a cute story, but shouldn’t be used as an excuse to bully others, and play the “see this person” anthem we love.

I didn’t know I was allergic to cats too until I got my first cat😁 I got her a month after my Dad died, and then I got my 2nd cat a year after🥰 There are days when I really get bad allergies, sneezing all day, up to the point when my throat hurts. Now I am never without cetirizine at home and I also drink plenty of fluids. They got me through my grief over my dad’s passing and now through the pandemic. I can’t imagine my life without them 🥰❤️
As a person with cat allergies, who nonetheless adopts cats, I can say: no, you don't get used to your allergies. It actually caused developing asthma in me. I'm on cortisone twice a day and have to take several other medications, only to cross out the side effects from the allergy. I do have my allergy since childhood and am adopting cats for about 20 years now. I also never planned on adopting a cat, because of the allergies, but my first one was abandoned by the neighbor and found me. She was in horrible condition, almost starved and full of matts. And that's where it all started. Now my allergy even got worse over the time. So worse, that I'm considering to not adopt any more cats after my current ones. As much as I love my cats, but it's a constant struggle of washing hands, having itchy red eyes, a running nose, being sneezing all the time and having issues to breathe.
ThankYou! Some of these comments are reckless and insensitive. As a supporter of the DoDo I am disappointed there is no disclaimer. We are in the era of disinformation and EVERYTHING is weaponized, politicized and used to bully. Organizations should be more responsible in their presentation of media that might intersect areas of other marginalized groups. Of course they can’t control all the kooks with their wild medical claims. However, you can disassociate yourself from that and refer people to proper medical information.
You should really get rehome them if its that bad. I know its hard but your health comes first. I had this happen to me also. Im fine with my female long hair cat but I adopted a male siamese kitten and was SO allergic to him. I thought Id get used to him but it just kept getting worst over the months. I could barely function. I gave him to my friend and I am SO much better now and I will never go back to feeling like that for a cat.
@@Arginne Thanks for your concern. Though I will never rehome my cats. All cats that ever came to me were abandoned or dumped by their previous owners, not wanted anymore, are abused, tortured or never felt love. With adopting them, I took the responsibility and gave them the promise, that they will from now on be safe and loved. And that's what they are here. My youngest boy is age 12 and severe chronically ill. I don't have young cats. So I am going to manage that for the time that is left. And will enjoy my time with them as much as possible.

Sweet video - I am glad you decided to deal with your allergies to help your beautiful new family additions. I used to be allergic to cats but I seem to have developed an immunity. Even patting cats I don't know doesn't bother me. Even if I continued to have allergies I would just deal with it too because bringing animals into your family is worth it!
That cat is the cutest little baby I have ever seen wow😃
agreed with you especially with crystal blue eyes. 💓

I totally understand how they feel about their furry babies. They bring so much joy and peace
I'm also allergic but I've had mine for 5 yrs now and i love her so much ❤ I have to take an anti-histamine everyday, but it's worth it. I tried to get a second kitten, but my allergies became really bad, even with taking anti-histamine, so i found a really good home for the second one.
Rescues are the best and very loving.
Ah two cat kids! I've always had single cats since 1980. Nearly two years ago I got a brother and sister. I fell in love instantly. It's so much more fun having two cat kids. And this lady who has two cat kids despite her allergies makes her doubly special.
It's a beautiful feeling 💖🤗 (those cats are very lucky to have such a great home)
You two gals are amazing! 😁
What a great trio of babies you have. May you & your girlfriend have many happy years together with them 😊

What a beautiful family. Animals can just happen in our lives, it’s meant to be.💕 It happened to me years ago, 12yrs of being mommy cat was beautiful. They help you when your healing from a bout with cancer. I miss my cats. 🐈🐈⬛😿
Three cat kids! Three's a charm! Bravo!

I’ve always been allergic to cats but I’ve always had one . I love them so much 😍 so happy she found you 🙏🏾
I’m allergic to cats but I absolutely love them! My reaction isn’t too bad, mostly itchy eyes, sneezing, and irritated skin, so I hope that one day I’ll still be able to adopt one
How you know that you are allergic to them? There might be d other reason? But how to confirm? Even I want to adopt one....
@@alovera280 ? You know there’s a thing called allergy tests, right? Also, I’ve been scratched by a cat before, and the area swells up the same way a mosquito bite does, if I’m in a room with multiple cats my eyes will water nonstop and I’ll have sneezing fits. really not hard to tell.
@@brookeb4563 Okay I will try test and better visit animals shelter few times then see the results.... thanks for help dear 😌 🙏
@@alovera280 I mean you can visit an allergy doctor. If you really aren’t sure and you think you might be allergic you should probably visit one. They do the test in a controlled environment and make sure you don’t have any severe reactions.
@@brookeb4563 Actually sometimes I get allergies like skin rash due to climate change so doctor gave me anti histamine tablets but the main trigger was not found...
Believe me, I fully understand. I have a bed FULL of cats, always have....and I have had allergies. Had to get shots in the past but I guess I've built up a tolerance now....bless you both for saving these precious felines. They'll give you many years of love and enjoyment.

Wonderful woman.

As long as I have some Benedryl I'm good.😂
Their cats are 2 parents and their son, and with the son as soon as I sit on the couch I pat the couch and he jumps up on the couch to get his pets and hugs.
I fully agree I tried this and it got to the point over months I was so sick I couldnt get out of bed.
ThankYou for this responsible reply.
I pray her allergies don't get worse. I lived with a cat for 6 months, got so sick near the end. 35 years later I am still severely allergic to cats. A couple of years ago I bad reaction and I couldn't see, my face and eyes were so swollen, trouble breathing etc etc. Nightmare.

@Lisa Love Hello friend
Just because the cats are adorable. It is so hard to send them to shelters after taking care of them for some time. They just like their children. Wishing the owners living happily with the 3 cats.
I love cats but I think even I am allergic to it, sometime I cough alot when around them but I can't stop myself 😭
@@Hathur I'm glad that I'm not Allergic to Cats
@@Hathur Please be careful giving medical information on the internet. Allergies, like ALL medical conditions exist on a gradient. My nephew has serve asthma and pet dandruff allergy, to the point of needing an Epi pen. Just smelling cat/dog saliva can trigger it. People treat him and his parents as though they’re “inconveniencing” them and being dramatic. The nerve of those people, wanting their child to survive, or at least avoid another hospital stay. This is a cute story, but shouldn’t be used as an excuse to bully others, and play the “see this person” anthem we love.
@@Hathur that does NOT work for a lot of people. Especially if the allergy is severe.
You ladies are awesome!!! Your kitties are very lucky and precious. I have four cats and they all have me wrapped around their paws. And I don't like being away from them either. they become such a big part of our lives.

🎉 oh my God!!🙆♀️ these cuties wouldn't have survived much longer w/o yall🙏🎉❤ yall are truly Godsends! Thank you angels so much for saving & loving these precious little warriors!!!❤❤ God bless yall and yalls PURRRRRRfect little family 🙏🙏🌺🌺
I didn’t know I was allergic to cats too until I got my first cat😁 I got her a month after my Dad died, and then I got my 2nd cat a year after🥰
There are days when I really get bad allergies, sneezing all day, up to the point when my throat hurts. Now I am never without cetirizine at home and I also drink plenty of fluids.
They got me through my grief over my dad’s passing and now through the pandemic. I can’t imagine my life without them 🥰❤️
Lovely rescue story thankyou for caring 😊 ❤
