I think by targeted attack he meant whoever did it knew exactly what they needed to do to get those cards. It wasn’t a random gas station robbery, it was calculated, which is also why people thing it’s an inside job. Also had no idea there was a full video only saw the insta. Good vid
It could easily be an inside job, all it takes is 1 dude who knows every locked door, every camera location, the location of everything expensive. And that 1 dude has bad intentions with a group capable of pulling this off
What hits the most is this man sold a huge majority of his PSA slabs to help fund Ace Grading. Hope he had some form of retail theft insurance. If so, then he should be fully reimbursed. But still, it's crazy to see this happen.
Damn that’s sad. Dude looks genuinely shook. I hope the company comes up and everything works out in the end. Hate to see the good ones take hits like that.
Yeah, he's not lying when he said this could be the end of the company. The entire business model relies on trust. Trust that they will grade fairly, deliver your cards on time, and most importantly handle your cards with care. Trust has been broken unfortunately and will be need to hope people understand and continue to support them. Really shitty it happened. I would also like to know what security measures were in place before/after the theft.
I think it’s about time Nintendo start doing unique serial numbers on at least the rarest cards in production. at least then people can track stolen cards and take ownership for their cards with the serial number.
I dunno what the security situation is like at ACE but something like this has to be calculated and i wouldnt be surprised if it was an inside job. its sad though cause ace was going to expand to the US etc and they now probably lost so much money compensating all the victims....
This is just terrible man… you can hear and see his pain. My heart and prayers go out to him. This world is a very difficult place to start anything, the Community will be here for him though, and I hope that ace grading can stay open. I hope those ba$tards are found and prosecuted!
Graded pokemon cards can be so valuable its not just a hobby any more. Even the most innocent of collectors would pause for thought if they pulled something that could be worth hundreds of dollars and consider selling it. This in turn obviously catches the eye of bad people.
liked for the headline topic. Subscribed for the Trixie aka cute doggo. Stayed for the Insite info for my personal card collection. Thank you for the video.
Watching him break down is so heartbreaking, like this guy genuinely feels responsible and guilty and doesn't want to let people down and through the acts of some criminals somewhere, he has, and he has to face the consequences. It sucks, I hope him and Ace Grading can get through this, I believe they will.
Lets be honest, The good thing for Randy is he has very good friends around him, KSI is one his best friends and has been for a very long time since they were teenagers, I'm confident in saying he would front any money needed to cover the costs as a loan, KSI is that type of guy, And so is the rest of the sidemen, They all have insane connections all over the place, He'll pull through this no problem. On another note, Anyone with half a brain can see it was someone with inside knowledge, Avoiding all security cameras and knowing exactly where the expensive cards are, This isnt a shop you can just walk in to, Its not like you can just walk in and check where the cameras are and where the stock is kept, This is basically an office/lab
Bro was on a come up too trying to open up his own trade centre too then to be smacked like that.. tough situation. Anyway Vertmas coming through with another one, nothing but love brother 🙏
If theyre already graded they would just crack them and sell raw or regrade the 10s with PSA. Its impossible to find these cards. Theyre smart enough to pull it off so wont be dumb enough to sell them in bulk
My heart breaks 💔 for him! 😢I wish there was something as a community we could do for him! Even in the smallest way, that way he knows he has people behind him, that care! ❤️😞🫂
Targeted attack doesn’t mean inside job , it’s when he says they got around security like it wasn’t even there, that’s what makes you think inside job.
I'm someone who really struggled for jobs, i got layed off alot due to struggling company's so all my thoughts go to the employees, I hope they all keep their jobs
This just sucks for the hobby as a whole, I know the internet assumes the worse ALWAYS but Randy seems like an honest reasonable person, of course i don't know him personally but i am trying to imagine if it was me who was dealing with this horrible situation. I know a lot of people are pissed off about the payout they were offered. If i was affected by this the only amount of money that would make me happy is 10 prices but i know thats not possible and 95% of the cards most likely wouldnt grade a 10. It just really sucks for everyone involved. The tin foil hatters who think he was in on it are just insane and no matter what you say or do it won't change their minds. The loss this company is gonna take to its reputation is off the charts.
Would like to know how the news companies are reporting roughly £250,000 worth of cards! When only a section of cards were stolen 😢 and yes mine were included, So he is claiming for £250,000 insurance but can't prove true value as they were ungraded and he has offered most 70%-80%
This is terrible but Kudos to Ace Grading! I use PSA because I sale cards and bottom line is PSA holds a premium and PSA absolutely shouldn’t hold such a premium, there are several smaller companies that grade way more harsh. I can’t speak for ACE as far as their grading BUT seem to be standup company. I certainly hope they make it through this and them along with a couple other smaller companies start getting premium prices essentially to keep PSA from monopolizing the industry
He said a certain section of cards. It’s hard to say what that means. It’s hard to believe they break up individual orders up. So I would think he’s talking about a particular stage of the process was targeted. Bring that he said a large amount of cards were taken. I would say what ever stage of that process that would be considered a bottleneck of sorts. Whatever “section” was taken, I hope there wasn’t a bunch of sentimental cards in those submissions. One thing that is very obvious, is…. The owner of Ace, had absolutely nothing to do with this! If that wasn’t an authentic, raw emotion post. He needs to move to Hollywood!!!! That doesn’t mean a past (or present) employee helped in the theft in some way. Being that only a particular “section” was taken, tells us the thieves had some specific security knowledge of that place.
If you don’t know how your products are stolen that means your security is lack behind. He sounds his insurance isn’t cover it significantly which sounds alarming. Perhaps it was done by ex employee
With the amount of work that they have put into this over the years and with them finally getting some recognition in the space those cards are not worth nearly the effect that this has on the name of the company and the possible future profits if that were ever discovered. Personally I don’t think this is even in the realm of possibility unless it was a solo job done by someone new to the company
Theyre not being good to customers at all. The amounts being offered are pitiful and not current raw market value. But you can bet they will claim full graded value from their insurance and make a nice profit
I genuinely mean this, Ace grading is my favourite of the whole lot. If you’ve seen their slabs in person and actually seen how on point they are with grading and reports, you would be impressed. It’s such an awful thing to happen. I really hope the company can recover because it was starting to boom this year in Japan and starting in the States.
@blastingoff no proof they are paying out the proper value of the card to the customers... and even if they don't get what they claim to be the full value of what was stolen they can claim they were all expensive cards meaning they get money that was never there and still walk away clean
I think by targeted attack he meant whoever did it knew exactly what they needed to do to get those cards. It wasn’t a random gas station robbery, it was calculated, which is also why people thing it’s an inside job.

Targeted Attack means they knew which cards had the highest value and only took those and left the rest.
Of course it was inside job
@@bazookajoe-u2w they probably went for the raw cards the graded ones would have had codes to be traced.
@@darthsaint7743 or they just crack the slabs...if you know the grade you know the value...
Not many owners put out a personal video apologizing for something out of his control. But how he is handling the actual controllables is fantastic.

I found loads of ace cards in my skip Saturday morning so ive kept them all
No one going to mention the Graded gem guy/people that were working at Ace? They would be the first people to question 🤷♀️
Dang this is a shame. Especially during the holiday season. Hopefully this gets sorted in the best possible way.
