  • After working in the Auto body industry for 23 years I learned a lot of tricks on how to do rust repair and in this video I am going to share what I have learned as we replace the totally rusted out floor pans in our 74 Dodge B300 van Minnie Winnie motorhome. Hope that you are able to learn something from this that will help you do your own DIY rust repairs. Follow along for future videos of our RV project and travel.

I love the Tosh vocabulary translations! She cracks me up! I always smile so much when you show the kids playing cards or other games instead of having their faces buried in their smart phones like the rest of the world. Ralphie is the Godfather of cleaning things. I still say he will own a car wash empire someday. Take care of your back Josh….the family needs you to be ready to roll! Looks like Squeeze may be coming around. She appeared to be enjoying that hole punch. 😎 beautiful job on the floor Josh. It’s like you knew what you were doing 🤪

I honestly think Josh knows literally everything automotive. Does everything right the first time. I really can't wait for the big block twin turbo build finishes and you take it to the track. Your kids are learning so much from you. Not many 15 year old girls have enough money saved to buy their own dream car before she even has a license. Most kids nowadays if sitting in the air conditioner would be glued to a cell phone. Not your kids. You guys never fail to impress me and give me hope that the great American family is not a thing of the past.

Carrying 70lb packs with all our chemical Warfare gear...pounding asphalt and dirt all the time. I hope mine never gets worse, but surgery would hopefully fix my disc degenerative disease. I wish a chiropractor visit would help my back. Deal with the pain or get surgery. I have stayed away from surgery since 2001. I guess Ill just deal with it. Thank you for your service as well my brother.

I don't think it would be fair to compare the old floor pans to Swiss cheese. Swiss cheese is definitely better. Props to Ralphie on his welding. Give him lots more practice, and he'll be a pro in no time. Great to see WaWa and Squeezie getting involved, and Mom for keeping it all on video. Be certain to keep Rocky's attitude in check. After having masterclass lesson in floor pan replacement, it seems it would not have been able to be anywhere near as solid as pulling it all out. Like every single sleeperdude video, the stuff you get to learn is amazing, and pretty helpful if you want to do your own project. Hopefully all y'all have been able to keep the momentum up on the RV and that summer road trip is right around the corner! The only thing better then restoration vids are road trip vids!

Your videos always make me smile but more than that, they warm my heart. I love seeing your children giggle and play together....and work together on family projects. So missing in much of our country's youth who spend too much time getting their values and building their character by comparing themselves and showcasing themselves on social media. Sleeperdude is more than just auto repair or racing...it's about family. I think that's why I can't wait for each new video to pop. Your editing skills are awesome and your attention to detail on every project you undertake is truly inspiring. That work ethic is being lost on upcoming generations -- but not your brood! Praise the Lord! Sweat labor with a smile. It really pays off. It's obvious how much you love each other. And the precious values you are passing on to your daughters and son are priceless. Keep up the great work Tosh and Josh. Your family is the best!

Always terrific to see the whole family working/playing in the shed! Kids using power-tools and welders, cleaning and spray-painting or just playing cards instead of getting twisted with social media. Goats and chooks (Australian slang for chickens), cats and dogs wandering about. A world away from the standard Western existence. Thanks for taking us with you; almost like going to church, reminding us what life could be like.
PS. Permit me to echo others commenting here in encouraging you to get professional advice about your back. Debilitating back pain limits so many lives yet needn't.

How is it that you managed to make these videos feel so cozy? Like, making us feel like we are just visiting you guys and watching you work on cars n stuff. Its awesome. I love it. Its actually therapeutic for me with my anxiety, depression, ocd and ptsd. Maybe add some lofi music in the background when you're editing the videos? Obviously not too loud but just enough to hear it and be soothed by it while watching. Sure, i could open another tab and play lofi but my internet or web browser dosent like it when I do that. Lol. It bogs down.

I bottle fed five kittens that lost their mama at four days old. They're 4 years old now. I had to feed them every couple hours and stimulate them to pee and poo. I'm listening to your video this morning and my dog is going nuts hearing those kittens because she helped me raise them. One of my older cats taught them how to eat solid food. When you wean them off the bottle, they need kitten chow for a year. Adult cat food will kill them when they're very young like that. Sorry, but I learned from experience. Good luck, they're adorable, and I love watching your channel.

I feel your back pain, Josh. You perfectly described one of my worst back attack episodes. Several decades ago, I was leaning over drilling holes for pushbuttons in a customer's control panel when my back just seized up and, literally, dropped me to my knees. I honestly thought I would never stand again as I lay immobile on the ground contemplating screaming for help. I eventually was able to pull myself up using nearby bits of panel and building and to limp back to my truck. I've tried all manner of stretches and exercises and even an inversion table (which tended to trigger attacks more than it ameliorated them) but attacks kept coming with the usual two to three days' incapacitation. Here's the punchline: a Stamina 0450 back-roller rig bought cheap from Sportsman's Guide many years ago gave actual relief when I stopped using the inversion table. EVERY morning, upon rising, I do ten rolls on the old 0450 followed by some toe-touches, and I'm good. The back attacks are very rare now, even if I've been heavy lifting, and they are never incapacitating like they once were. I'm going on 71 and just came out of a winter of exclusively wood heating with ash I felled, bucked, hauled, cut, split, stacked, and hauled some more--just myself. The bad news: I just checked; Stamina doesn't make the 0450 anymore, and I couldn't find any equivalent apparatus that uses a free-rolling, padded barrel as the back stretcher. Maybe the original was too simple and cheap to make business sense. You might find one used. Mine is not for sale at any price. Cheers.

Nice to see this done. I drove my 77 dodge custom van for 20 years w floors this bad (driver side was a yeild sign 😂) until a friend did this same job for me a few years ago. Now it’s super nice. Don’t forget the passenger seat sits back a hood deal further than the driver in these 70s dodges. Also you might not want to let Vienya eat the dirt from the RC drippin’s. You’ll never have an RC Cola tree that way. Think of the kids 😂
