Been using the black one for few weeks now with no issues. The speaker doesnt work when i ask it to play sound, it works only when i turn it on and off. The firmware i have is newer than the one you have. Bought it for 4$. If you buy one dont pay over 5 as they are selling as cheap as 2$ with the battery. Thank you for your fun content!

Not to mention that they don’t have the precision finding (to have the arrows and distance when searching for the AirTag nearby)

The Eufy tag is very good and half the price of the airtag. Mine has been running a few months and still full battery.

@@AirtagAlex Thanks for letting me know! Truth is: I have an unironically bad hearing (left ear is "okay", but right is really bad and has a constant loud tinnitus), so precision finding honestly suits me best. :) Keep your great videos coming and thanks again for actually answering!
Ah that explains it then..! I can understand in that scenario it would be handy to have the precision finding. Trust me, nothing beats the real airtags so far.
Kruidvat also sells one for €10, available in stores, and works with find my. I have one.

Next time maybe put some high resolution pictures of the circuit board in your video. Would love to see how they designed it. Which makes them much cheaper and the battery runs out faster.

I have 5 similar trackers (from another Chinese manufacturer). They do not have any problems with the battery.
I'm just conducting experiments on how the objects in which tags are placed affect the detection range.

I wonder if the battery warnings had to do with the actual power consumption of the tracker or if the cheap trackers just had crappy batteries. You should try out putting the same type of battery from the same manufacturer inside each one and see if it that fixes it. I’ve had my AirTags send me a low battery warning just a few weeks after replacing the battery and I’m pretty sure the reason for that were that my replacement batteries just kinda sucked.
As I said in the video all 3 airtags had new batteries inside. Its an issue with the chinese tags for sure. The one I have at home now has a new battery from a different brand and also 2 weeks later the same issue.
