@@Schaferhund1 . If so, how sad for his family. Thankfully, mine is being turned around by naet treatments plus keto and I.F. diet. And my cirrhosis was caused by my diabetes, not alcohol.
I work in the supplement retail business and have a group of customers from a certain country that drink a lot all the time. It is a consistent thing with them and they wouldn't even contemplate giving up alcohol. They look the picture of health and move like young me and these guys are in tgeir 70' and 80's. They drank like this all their life. I was amazed by it. The difference is they all take and I mean all take " milk thistle" on a consistent basis and have done so for yrs. If I drank what they drank I would be gone in a month. Milk thistle is a very popular herb used by many for specifically liver issues. Does milk thistle help protect your liver while you drink? This group of tourists seem to show that. Everytime they come by and buy enough milk thistle to last for at least a yr and they come every year. If you have a sick liver you would be advised to check with a physician to make sure it is safe to do as it might not be under an unwell liver. These tourists stood out to me because they seem to have the best of both worlds that being enjoying their drinks yet remaining healthy. When I mentioned to them about their livers they just laughed it off. They have been drinking like for 60 yrs. I cannot validate if milk thistle works that well but I can attest to seeing those repeat customers who seem as healthy as I was.

@@carolcole570 Depends where you live in the world, but Tibetan medicine is the best for treating liver problems. you can Google to see if a Tibetan doctor is in your area (it's worth travelling if one is not). The person above was speaking about Ayurvedic medicine, which is also good for the liver. By her name and the spelling of the treatment centre, it looks like it's in India. But you could also Google to see if a good Ayurvedic doctor is near you.
@@minoozolala . I googled Ayurvedic in Atlanta and found 3 places in Atlanta. But, then, it says that the government here does not recognize them.
About 2 months ago, after watching a video where I commented, I received an answer from a man, who literally hooked me. It is a good thing that I kept pressing him, however and it turns out it was a huge scam. HE was in India. I think it has literally scared the tar out of me dealing with a person from India. Now, one thing, Google said that the Ayurvedic medicines are not all safe, because some have very high levels of lead content in them. Will you please tell me exactly WHAT these doctors DO ? Thank you.
@@carolcole570 Yes, you're right, Tibetan medicine and Ayurvedic medicine won't be covered by your regular medical insurance. Here's what I would suggest regarding Tibetan medicine - make a call to Emory University, to their Emory-Tibet Science Initiative. This person should be able to give you some information about visiting doctors: karmatenzin@emory.edu 404.727.7074 (I found this on their site). If he doesn't answer you, then google Emory and try to find other people. Someone will eventually help you. Usually they arrange for visiting Tibetan doctors, but unfortunately all this will have stopped because of the pandemic. But maybe they know of a local doctor. You can also contact the local Buddhist Dharma centres because they will know when a doctor is visiting or if one lives around Atlanta. As for Ayurvedic medicine, it is very trustworthy. Sorry you ran into a scammer from India, but I can promise you that Indians are generally very good people and you can certainly trust their ancient tradition of medicine. I didn't check all the places in Atlanta, but don't go to one where they don't have a real practitioner - there are lots of places with people who have taken a course or two and think they know Ayurvedic medicine, which is actually very complex. As for what the doctors do: they are working from within medical traditions that have helped many people over the centuries. The doctors will diagnose your problems and prescribe a diet and herbal medicines that work gently to heal chronic diseases. I have personally had tremendous results from my years of using Tibetan medicine for my own liver problems. I do vaguely remember something about certain Ayurvedic medicines being found to have lead in them, but this is something for you to discuss with the doctor - these medicines were probably fake, and very few contain lead. But if I were you, I'd try Emory first because they will be able to give you good info. See also the videos here on YT by Dr. Berg and Dr Fung regarding the keto diet and intermittent fasting because as the comments under their videos about fatty liver and cirrhosis show, such diets can also definitely help.

My husband doesn’t drink alcohol but he has diagnosed with hepatitis c and cirrhosis. Doctor did not proscribed any medication yet, still for long 2.5 months waiting on any help. My husband getting worse and worse every day.

What's the data between light beers vs liquor? Wouldn't liquor be a boost towards liver failure, much quicker than beer?

It's math. 1.5 ounces of liquor is equal to 12 ounces of beer. If you drink eight beers, and someone else has eight shots, you're both drinking the exact same amount of alcohol.

It feels very bad when such a problem occurs. Actually, I had the same problem, then I went to many hospitals. But the result was not good. Then, someone told me about planet Ayurveda. you would think the medical be more update why not high dose vitamin d instead of predesolone i can only say good things about high doses i really think the medical place is more a business vitamin d can help inflammation boost the immune help back and muscle problems prevent cancer i seen these myself so why in the world would they give someone pred that tears your immune apart and even cause liver damage to treat liver it makes no sense to me kinda like what they do to cancer too

Late reply but - Heart disease/heart problems, tumours, cancers, liver diseases of all sorts, not just " Liver disease ". Ulcers, mouth cancer, stomach cancer, rotten teeth, Jaundice, immune deficiency, " Drug dependency". Basically just to name a few!
