Negative reviews by RUclips grifters, even before the movie was released so let alone them even seen the movie, didn't help either. However, the real problem is that people aren't going to the theater to see big action movies anymore. No movie has broken the $1B market yet in 2024 (U.S. Domestic that is).

I love how the bullet farmer acts totally insane in fury road but here we see him in a calmer, but not happy, demeanor. This is just his day to day life going on right here, supervising a lead mine.

I kind of admire how Immortan and the Triumvirate ran all 3 towns, evil aside. Joe screwed it up in the end in his search for a healthy heir, but he ran everything by the numbers.
The funny thing is that he always wanted a healthy heir capable of fighting and leading. And that's literally what little Furiosa was. He could have just adopted her and after Immortan Joe passed, she could have reformed society to be more friendly and also saved the green place.
Yeah! He did squandered his power and wealth. Imagine if he fortified the surrounding area of the Citadel better and extended out his farming to those area. It doesn't have to be a large expansion. Additionally, he had the machine tools to make artillery weapons that could repel invades at longer distant. Hell, why didn't they mount one or two machine guys on the war-rig? Well, if they did all that then I guess we wouldn't have a great action Mad Max movies.

He also kept the people under control by limiting water. In theory if he expanded the Citidal into a large society, it could be huge but maybe he thought that's risky if they try and over throw him

I love how they show Bullet Farm being all celebratory that the War Rig is there and after Dementus’ take over being shown with no greetings at the gate. Makes things unsettling until they turn to absolute shit.
Holy shit I loved this movie. It felt like it retained a lot of the vibe and cinematography style of the old mad max movies while interlaying it with Fury road style action. Such an amazing balance! All the critics were mad that it “didn’t live up to the action of fury road” missed the entire point.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but that yellow war boy at 1:07 is Ace from fury road, right? If not the character, the actor at least. I know he worked coordinating stunts in Fury Road, and got cast as the head war boy then. I love that he gets this little appearance/line! Wish we'd seen more of him, although most featured war boys didn't make it out of this one

The rocks just look like a CGI prop in Furiosa in the big overview shots, especially when it quickly pans out to show the mountain. The Warboy insignia and Joe's balcony especially looked fake compared to Fury Road.
This was reminiscent of the road warrior scene where Max tells Papagallo he wants to drive the rig, Max is handed his shotgun back along with a white bag full of shells
Did Taylor-Joy really matched up Theron's voice or was it Theron's AI voice? If it was Taylor-Joy's voice, man, she really nailed it, she sounded like Theron.
I think it was a bit of both. Coached/trained to sound more like Theron, but they also vocoded a bit to autotune her more into Theron as well. I could be mistaken, however.

I believe that the 40 day war scene was something what wastelanders romanticised in their heads and the actual war happened in 1 day. And rest of the days were just tracking down escaping bikers and baiting out Dementus who probably retreated back to Gastown the moment he understood that he was surrounded.

Sure, they held onto power with iron fists but it’s the wasteland. There is nothing but chaos and horror out there. The warboys had purpose. The people could survive (best you could hope for in this situation). It really wasn’t all that bad. Sure, they had breeders and the like, but I mean, come on! IT’S THE WASTELAND!

They use machineguns and other fire arms in fury road. Mainly mounted ones for vehicles. The bulk of their weapons arw thunderstucks woth most of the bullets probabaly going to Gastown boys or the Imperators and rest kept for the Bullet farmer himseof.

the lowest point in this film was reached in the finale... the 40 day war, I was expecting an epic battle between the two factions that would revive the fortunes of the film, which had been slow and not particularly inspired up until that moment, and.... do they show the battlefield when it's all over?? Truly? a total disappointment... not to mention furiosa at the beginning that she gets caught like a total idiot for no valid reason, instead of calling for help since she has an ultrasonic whistle made for this purpose... then throughout the film she says 20 lines , I understand that it's part of the character, but in Fury Road she says more than 1000, she is not autistic like in this film and this total change of personality makes no sense.. at the cinema when the lights came on during the interval I heard a girl in the row in front of me say that she had fallen asleep 😅

IMO the biggest downside of Furiosa was the cinematography. The way the light was oversaturatetly bright made many effects look bad. Same guy who did cinematography for 300. If the film had the same cinematographer who did Fury Road then a lot of effects would've looked better.
Why does every single thing look off and CGI. Everything. That cart hes pushing is CGI. You cant get an extra to push a cart? The bullet farmer dude looks like his mouth is CGI. Was this whole movie shot in one green room?

The movie seems to s do well on VOD and has just broke even in theaters. It is a painful result but seeing the critics and reading what it is said about it, it seems a Max- focused movie would have gotten the same success.

You could make the argument that since the war boys are kamikase units they would be more into explosions and melee weapons than the gun.

Not woke, not as good as Fury rosd. The essence of the critic is dissappointment related to the actrice. Also, people criticise the use of CGI, respectively the ammount and placing. I for myself haven't waschen, but based on what I have seen it is worth a watch while viewing it a grain of salt

do well on VOD and has just broke even in theaters. It is a painful result but seeing the critics and reading what it is said about it, it seems a Max- focused movie would have gotten the same success.
