Hi Chris - After installing the Revco hidden trailer hitch and now my 2019 Honda Goldwing rides really rough. I followed your install every step of the way. It feels like the flex in the hinge points are bound. Should I loosen the hinge points. Any ideas?
Great video as always! I have a question. I have a 21 wing and my phone is on my left side handle bar. I want to power it and keep it connected to apple car play while riding. How would you recommend on drilling a hole in the center pocket? I appreciate any insight you can provide. Thank you!
You could simply pull the USB cable from the grommet in the center pocket and then run a USB extension up to the handlebar, Of course, you would have to remove the top shelter to do this. This would eliminate the necessity of drilling another hole.
@timestamp 4:12: Remove mufflers: I don't see where this is necessary. The trailing arms can be fished up from the rear of the bike, and the bolts are all accessible. If you do this, re-installing the mufflers and aligning them is difficult, and the carbon gasket in the inlet gets dislodged, making it not worth the effort. Also, when pushing the mufflers forward to re-install, you stand a chance of pushing the bike off the center stand, so be very careful of this.
Ok Cruise man. I consider you a source of truth. Installation of the hitch went relatively well. Stripped one of the heat shield bolts. No big deal. Putting it back together now and I have to ask. WHAT'S THE SECRET TO THE ALIGNING 4 TABS ON THAT HEAT SHIELD, WHILE GETTING IT OVER THE FALL OVER PROTECTION. I just don't see how you line them all up when you can't see any of them. I'm sure Honda puts them on before all the body work so the can see the alignment. Any tricks or tips for making this last step happen?
I have never come up with a good suggestion for that. Hardest thing on the bike to re-install are the heat shields. It helps if you put some silicone grease on the rubber tab inserts, but the first time I did it, it took me nearly 45 minutes to get it back on.

Do you know if this hitch would fit a 2022 Goldwing Tour DCT? On Rivco website, the drop down list stops on 2018 model year?
It fits my 2021 Goldwing Tour DCT.
