After watching this for the first time I did not like it at all it should have ended like this: -the boys realise the ring is missing and they find clues leading them to the whereabouts of the ring. (In the bullies car or house) - they sneak in trying to get the ring back - they get it just in time before they get caught which leads to an epic chase scene. - they end up getting away as police surround the bullies and arrest them. - they make it back in time for the party and Kevin plays his beat for the party while someone raps on it. (Happy moments) -then Damon checks Lebron's IG story that shows his plane landing. -They create some random emergency that would make the guests panic and leave. - Damon, Kevin and the girls help clean up his trashed house before bron gets back. - Bron gets back just in time and questions who the boys are. (They give some lame excuse) -they leave quietly with enough money raised for Kevin's daughter. - finally Lebron lays in his bed at home scrolling through his phone on IG and sees footage from the party, realises what happened when he was gone. - goes nuts The end
It's funny in 2017 I said if they ever remade House Party I thought Rae Sremmurd would be the best picks as you have to have some people with actual chemistry. The movie would have been bad either way, but their lack of chemistry really didn't help at all.
@Jermaine Anthony Never knew we called for them. However, they are strategic through social media and try to get us on board through posts. But we never call for them.
For real. You can’t root for this. The icons who started this made something completely unique. I’m not familiar with these actors. you can’t come close without correlating the talent I think. Honestly there’s no one off top of my head that could come close to carrying the flag.
Hey it wasn't good. It was a mess. It had some elements of Harold and Kumar and Friday so there was some entertainment value for this train wreck. Kid Cudi stole the show when he first shows up
An absolute cash grab. LeBron James grew up watching these movies as well as "Space Jam" and not he has the fame, money and the clout to get these two reboots/ remakes made thinking that these movies will find a new audience with generation Z . The House Party movies were popular with generation X and generation Y(Millennials) but I think it is just best to leave these iconic classic movies alone. The '90s represented a renaissance period for Black cinema that included movies such as "Boyz in the Hood", the Friday movies, films from Spike Lee and more. The neighborhood house party was very much a part a Black youth culture back then and I think the Hudlin Brothers did a good job of tapping into that culture and infusing it music and comedy. This updated version seems to be relying on nostalgia and hoping that a new audience will be attracted to a contemporarized version of a '90s classic. It seems like an epidemic in Hollywood nowadays with all the reboots and remakes we had lately and it doesn't look like that trend is going to end anytime soon.It seems like nothing is original anymore in Hollywood and that's a shame.
I totally agre with you thank you for making this video beautiful black Queen. Everything that you said is 100 percent correct i couldn't take this movie serious at all the original films specifically the 3 house party movies were way better than this hot mess
The problem comes from not understanding the audience & not being able to relate to the audience , the audience drastically since the late 80s early 90s even films like ATL which Dropped in 2006 feels nalstagia because it capture the times & exspirecence of the audience at that time in 2023 these teenagers lives are involved in social media now humanity is not even close anymore no one dances at all it's about the time's
@Jermaine Anthony who dances how they was dancing in house party who throws party's in the house anymore all it is now is woman twerking guy's standing up
Meanwhile I’m zooted in the movies laughing my ass off and enjoyed it lol But true this movie (and a lot of newer movies) don’t have the same chemistry as classics do
i couldnt buy a laugh in there. that's why i was wondering who it was marketed for -- not gen x like me who love the original house party. this has to be for gen z and alpha who luv those comedians in the reboot.
@@PLOTTHICC it definitely was not close to the original (millennial here ‘91)! But it was a million times better than How High 2!! That was the worst sequel/remake.. so I’m just feeling that in comparison to that this was actually kinda enjoyable
I can’t defend it on ether side I can’t put it at the bottom and say it’s the worst I can’t put it at the top and say it’s the best I had to put it on the middle of my list it was both the worst and the best at the same time I will re visit this and laugh hella hard down the road I was with you on everything but that rant about it not being a classic
Why make a movie for kids that can’t drive or pay to watch it lol they gotta make movies that parents want their kids to watch and don’t mind paying for
@@salvambala7779 it also had a purpose as well. That movie originally showed us the consequences of bad decisions but it also encouraged a lot of people to get good grades and show their talents as well. That movie plus spike lee movies made me fall in love with black films and HBCUS as well
@@ItsMii8661 yeah it was one of those adult comedies (not really adult) that the whole community had to watch. It also portrayed black people in a somewhat positive and non stereotypical lifestyle. It was a fun watch especially since it came out in the gangsta rap/hood movie era.
You can tell this movie was being made great by one writer and another writer was making a spoof film you can tell another writer was making trash and the plot was amazing and was there and they didn’t execute it this was the 6th of the series it was a continuation the plot was all about the Illuminati see your saying everything I was thinking completely but the parts that worked were really great
Honestly it really wasn’t that bad everybody’s talking trash about it like it was just the worst movie ever be honest the first house party wasn’t that great either but they had references from it and it wasn’t too bad it’s not as bad as everybody is saying it is no
Stop lying, the movie was TRASH. The original was way better. This movie was not funny, no relatable or likeable characters, no memorable moments, the music and dancing was TRASH, this movie should have went straight to the Walmart bins. It's an insult that this movie was even in the theaters. Coming 2 America Too was better than this and that movie was TRASH....SMH!!!

The weed humour and the gory scenes just make it look like a seth Rogen movie
They need to stop rebooting and come up with NEW classics
for real.
@Jermaine Anthony facts.

@Jermaine Anthony it’s giving write a book about it love.
They would have been better off bringing in the original cast and some how using there kids or grandkids to build this movie.
true dat
That is exactly how i felt that would have made a much more better movie to watch
I’ve yet to hear someone say they liked this. Glad I’ve skipped it.

I agree that the 90s was definitely a Renaissance for Black Movies and Tv Shows
💯
This movie sounds like a direct to Tubi movie.
