Che voce... questo pezzo mi fa piangere.. Grazie Joe.. quando sentii per la prima volta i Clash quand'ero un ragazzino delle medie,la mia vita cambiò...
This song has been greatly appreciated because of this youtube post. I don't know if I would have come into contact with it otherwise. Thanks. I keep coming back, its the only version of the song I know how to get.
It's a great concept, I think I'll have to show my mum this ... she teaches media studies, so she likes to see all these nice ideas that people have. RIP Joe.
De vez en cuando la escucho: me hace ver al Joe músico y al Joe persona, aun sin conocerlo. Desprende sinceridad y compromiso. Como dice chilipeppz, simple y perfecto!
wow,, Joe has always insapired me even before i knew what music was as a kid i had an mp3 with some few tracks i had 4 tracks from the clash,, Jimmy Jazz, All the young punks,, White Riot and death or glory,, The Clash learned me to injoy lots of world music.
@zanyusername I just saw it yesterday on a local film club. amazing film! It has such a great sense of humor. And that line you say "The working class has no fatherland" just made it for me.
@torgeirbrownies Pure human soul. When I listen to his music or hear his voice speaking the only thing I can feel is that 'this is my humanity, this is my tribe'.
I had not, but now I have. For everyone's benefit, Chris Shiflett from Foo Fighters/ Me First and the Gimme Gimmes / No Use for A Name covers this tune with a country flavor. Just search Chris Shiflett and Burning Lights and it will come up.
Does anyone know where you can buy or download this track? It seems like it was only on the soundtrack for this film, which had a limited release and is basically impossible to find within the price range of a normal person.
I know! too bad its on an album I got. but it sooooo crappy i will not mention the name. The quality is WAY better here. too bad. I'm a long haul driver moving things the cops don't know.. . . love it!!!

Dam. That chord progression at 1:26 epitomizes Joe Strummer's style: simple, yet magnificent.
Can anyone write them out for me? I know they're shown right on camera, but I'm a beginner at the guitar.
