Ok Radiohead's version is awesome for sure... Plus, Radiohead wrote thé song, so they'll always have an impact on everyone who takes it... But this version, is the real creepy one ^^
Somehow the song speaks to me through this cover, while I never really noticed it as anything special by Radiohead. Also, I'll take this opportunity to congratulate Alkuteos on his vid description. Talk about thorough and informative. Kudos!
WOW!!!!! Amazing....so much better!!!! I knew there was was reason I knew all the words to this song....Now I'm not shy to sing to it. hehehehe Love it!!!!!
And here it is! I adore this song. Creep, for RadioHead. But this cover, omg, this cover just gave me the chills!! And i loved it even more for it xD Awesome album, for real....
guyz, i've always felt this song needs a kickass vocals and a crushing electric guitar riff... i've even tried to make a cover, but the one you made... its just marvelous! and the creepy intro... outstanding!!!
Hello, folks. I noticed there are a lot of opinions being thrown around down here, so I figure one more can't hurt. I quite enjoyed this song. Having never listened to Radiohead, I can't say for certain which version is of higher quality. What I can say, however, is that there are an awful lot of vicious comments down here. I unfortunately spent the entire song flagging inflammatory remarks as spam rather than enjoying the music. Why not just listen to the tune if you like it, or leave the vid?
I just love how they interpreted the songs.. you can't say, that they were shit before, just kind of music, that you don't listen to. NK made me love most of the songs
@MaurDL Who said a cover had to keep the same tune? They made the song their own, this is what more bands need to do when making a cover and not be afraid of keeping to the original tune and give it the feel they think the song means to them.
love this song. I even like it better than the original, which is amazing cuz I looove the original! The intro gives me goosebumps! I'm all about the sinister music box!
I love the Radiohead song, and I was pleasantly surprised to see them bring something so new to the song. This version sounds like it could go right into a very epic musical, whereas the Radiohead version simply does not have anything remotely resembling this attribute. To be able to one up Radiohead like this, I must say I am pretty impressed......wow.
I know... I had only heard of Nightwish... but now I prefer this! Not that Nightwish is bad, but I was a Tarja fan and I like how this band shows many different styles of metal when they take on many different songs. I like the way that they have ideas about songs than many others would... :D
This Creep-Version finally shows the distorted mind, which is portrait in the creepy words of the song. I like the used dissonances even more than the strictly bassy style, flowing throughout the whole song. I sounds epic, thank you, Northern Kings! For those of you, who would like to know another "different" version of Creep, listen to Richard Cheese' approach: /watch?v=gUUj4BjY-VM&feature=fvst
I do really love the original cause I could sing along to it whenever I was down and feeling cast out. I didn't fully understand the point of the lyrics till I heard this gawdly fucktastic version. The original the song was crying and sad about it's creepiness; here it's fully embraced the creep factor and is on the fucking prowl! Beautiful haunting scare ride of a cover!
Hear hear, brother! That's something I can NOT understand about music videos specifically on RUclips. Why, why, WHY do people go to a song they don't even like, just to leave a comment about how you don't like it?? I can't imagine doing that. If I happen across a song I don't like, I just turn it off.... It's not like anyone is forced to click it! That said, this is actually really cool! *Very* creepy, and I think the music goes very well with this song.
"the skinny guy"? only one of the four singers is from Nightwish, Marco Hietala, then there's Tony Kakko from Sonata Arctica, Juha-Pekka Leppäluoto (yes.. i had to copy paste that :p ) from Charon which sings this song, and the last dude is Jarkko Ahola, from that finish band i can't pronounce.
This version is epic but does anyone heard the version that sings all of them, its called Killdivo remix and i couldnt find it even on youtube, its pretty awesome i only can heard on Spotify...
And haha, I started typing that before I heard the whole song. As it continued to play, I kept changing my words, from "kinda" cool, to "pretty" cool, finally to "really" cool. LOL! (This is the first time I've heard this song, ofc.)
@henhute6 To be honest, I agree with you a little. Couple of years ago when these songs were published, I thought they were ten times better than the original ones. But while time changed, my opinion changed too. I'm not as bold as you: I still think these covers are great, but they're nothing compared to original ones. Though couple of these NK's covers have very great elements in them, like Brothers In Arms by Leppäluoto. IMO it might just be the greatest cover ever made. Just my two cents.
@MaurDL You just made your own statement invalid, because the song does have the same lyrics and the way the song is sung does NOT need to be the same. It's the artists take of the song, and some artists feel they need the change it into their own style. Gary Jules version of Mad World is nothing like the original sung by Tears for Fears. Same as Adam Lamberts version of it, none of them are the same except for the lyrics. Same song, different representation and mood.
Exactly, when you do a cover, give it your own spin, and do something new and different with it. In Northern Kings' case, they seem to improve on any song they cover. Is there no stopping these guys? Hey, what about a Northern King's version of 1999 by Prince?
people seem to forget northern king's are a power metal band. they're taking song's that aren't even metal, and making them their own power metal version. if they tried to do a direct cover of the original then it wouldn't be northern king's, it would be radiohead's. and it wouldn't be power metal. I like heavier sounds in my music, so I like this one more.
@henhute6 I must admit that I prefer the original, but this version seems to give it a new meaning and personally, I can't see what's wrong with it!! The way I see it, if you're gonna cover a song might as well do it in your own special way - and these guys did!!
They do make their own songs, just not in this band, seeing it's a cover band, the singer in this song is from the band Charon, the three other singers are from other bands as well, one guy in a finnish band i can't pronounce, one from Sonata Arctica, and one from Tarot, the Tarot singer is also the bassist in Nightwish.
I've got goosebumps from pure pleasure over this song! Happens every time, no matter how often I listen to this symphony of perfection.
JP ftw! His voice is just. Wow. Every time I listen to Charon, he amazes me yet again.
Ok Radiohead's version is awesome for sure... Plus, Radiohead wrote thé song, so they'll always have an impact on everyone who takes it... But this version, is the real creepy one ^^
Yes, really creepy indeed...but it works! Very well done. I love both versions. don't know if I like one more than the other.
This version reminds me of Peter Steele.
This song, as it should be, is the creepy version of Creep and it's AWESOME!!!
Yeah. I absolutely love the original, but this cover is far creepier in a masterful way.
I love Radiohead's, but this one has a gritty, eerie edge, love it too.
Only version of this song I’ll play now! 🙌
I can't believe I just learned about this band a week ago! The covers are so amazing that any compliment wouldn't do it justice!
Fuck I am old
Somehow the song speaks to me through this cover, while I never really noticed it as anything special by Radiohead.
Also, I'll take this opportunity to congratulate Alkuteos on his vid description. Talk about thorough and informative. Kudos!
Holy crap...I love it and want to lock all my doors at the same time. lol.
this song binds my heart and soul as the chord streams through my veins, today I feel not rotten I feel A OK.
This cover makes me shiver... It is... Gorgeous!
Awesome! Very dark and really creepy! :D
My favourite version of this song!
WOW!!!!! Amazing....so much better!!!! I knew there was was reason I knew all the words to this song....Now I'm not shy to sing to it. hehehehe Love it!!!!!
This song gives me the chills!! I LOVE IT!!!
just awesome, incredible, amazing!!!!!!! love this guys!!!
I like Radiohead, have for a long time. But this cover in my opinion is way better.
Thanks
omg the first words sung and I have goosebumps - this needs to be played really loud, ya know when the vibrations go right through you :)
Järkyttävän onnistunut.
Kuka haluaa pitää halloween-juhlat vamppyyrilinnassa, tässä musiikki juhliin . Ettäs OSAAVAT, MITKÄ TAITURIT TEKEMÄSSÄ ❤❤❤❤❤.
OMG. This version makes me go pre-hide in anticipation of a stalker.
haha
Oh is that just in hope... Wink wink
Lol
And here it is! I adore this song. Creep, for RadioHead.
But this cover, omg, this cover just gave me the chills!! And i loved it even more for it xD
Awesome album, for real....
Best creep cover ever
Totally compelling. Great job Northern Kings!!
guyz, i've always felt this song needs a kickass vocals and a crushing electric guitar riff... i've even tried to make a cover, but the one you made... its just marvelous! and the creepy intro... outstanding!!!

Best cover of creep ever........
Fantastic.
This is brilliant.
Only a matter of time that this appears as a tv series season finale song. Can see it now...
I love this version!
wow...this is an awesome arrangement..didnt expect that musicality

I could listen to this 100 times.My theme song.Finally!
Essa é uma das melhores versões com certeza

JP's voice is perfect for this song.
i love this cover...
This is just chilling.
SUPER! IT'S AMAZING!
I just love how they interpreted the songs.. you can't say, that they were shit before, just kind of music, that you don't listen to. NK made me love most of the songs
So haunting....
Very unique, loved it hope to see them cover some power metal songs as well.
no, They have taken good songs and made them fucking amazing!!!
so good and creepy, JP is best at this kind of stuff
+mc23243 first word I said was this shit's creepy lol
it's not bad...
When you were here before,
Couldn't look you in your eye
You're just like an angel,
Your skin makes me cry...
I like this a lot.
I completely agree. Also the song Don't Bring Me Down. When I heard the original, It felt empty after listening to Northern King's cover.
amazing...amazing cover...justin beiber would cry and run away to hear this awesome song....\m/
I think this version sounds so good!
Rebirth to classics, I think.
noooooooo
chabonnn!!!

la voz q tienen!!
me encanto este cover!!
NORTHEN KINGS
THE BEST!!
This is soooo wicked cool!!

@badbav33
Cause it doesn't matter whether it's on a birthday or not, there comes a point where even if it's worse it doesn't make a difference.
I'm the same. I'd heard of them cos I'm a big Nightwish fan but if I knew they did stuff like this I would have checked them out sooner
I actually like this a lot...I work haunted houses & this song has the perfect tone for it! I really like the spooky music box sound to it ;)
I know... I had only heard of Nightwish... but now I prefer this! Not that Nightwish is bad, but I was a Tarja fan and I like how this band shows many different styles of metal when they take on many different songs. I like the way that they have ideas about songs than many others would... :D

/watch?v=gUUj4BjY-VM&feature=fvst
this is the kind of song where i want to sit in a corner and slowly turn my head in a full circle
That note he does at the end of the chorus where he says "I don't belong here" fucking creeps the shit right out of me. God this version is good.
I have to admit, the guitar solo sealed the deal for me. I like this. But the original will always hold a place in my heart.
i totally agree!!!!
That's an original view of the song. It is creepy, not self-pitying like the original and Sentenced's version. I really like it.
amazing!
so fucking special. :)
best cover band fer sure.
YES, they can.
Amazing
I do really love the original cause I could sing along to it whenever I was down and feeling cast out. I didn't fully understand the point of the lyrics till I heard this gawdly fucktastic version. The original the song was crying and sad about it's creepiness; here it's fully embraced the creep factor and is on the fucking prowl! Beautiful haunting scare ride of a cover!
Awesome...
Radiohead must be loving this. This is insanely awesome!
@darnpenguin yeah thats the best description one can give to this version ... its just disturbing but in a good way.
I love JP !!
Its not really a "cover" I agree. I'm all for making a song your own but they have LITERALLY turned this into their own song lol!
Awesome!
Hear hear, brother! That's something I can NOT understand about music videos specifically on RUclips. genial!!!!
I love this cover. I think this cover is so much better than original.

This version is perfect
This version is epic but does anyone heard the version that sings all of them, its called Killdivo remix and i couldnt find it even on youtube, its pretty awesome i only can heard on Spotify...
This cover creeped me out :D

Kudos to these guys for trying,
but nothing can beat the orignal..
i do like this cover though.
one of the better ones out there :)
good work guys.
@Rereversed You´re totally right. But both versions are good.

Aww them metalheads...
omfg a radiohead cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG
epic, seriously

its a cool version, i like em both... and yeah it should be in nightmare before christmas ;)
@henhute6

that first bridge... i crapped everywhere..... that shit was scariest thing i've ever heared :O
It´s like elvish to me too (I´m from Sweden) but my mother is from Finland so she told me how to pronounce it =)
