EYES is a great way to play around with. I think I have about 4 palettes I haven’t touched and 5 singles. Great choices. All the palettes are soooo pretty 🤩
Your eye look is lovely. It inspires me to use my ridiculously cheap but wonderful Profusion Harvest Palette. Thanks for sharing and for getting me to use what I have.
The Glamshop palette looks right up my alley 😍 I love a good mauvey neutral with a pop of green. The Rich Romantic has been on my wishlist since it released. We'll see if I still want it in a few months. With hodgepodge palettes, I like separating them out into quads and seeing how I go. The quads don't always work out, and sometimes only 3 of the 4 colors will work together, but sometimes I end up with a neat color combination I wouldn't have thought of on my own. Duo/trio/multi chromes make me uneasy for the same reason! Usually I just try to pick one of the shifts (probably the main hue) and pretend it's just that color, and let the shift surprise me. Mostly, it's a good surprise. Sometimes I hate it and have to go over it with something else 😆
Ya I need to get over myself with duos/multis etc and remind myself that I can just wash it off if I hate it! I love the idea of the quads! That's usually how many shadows I like to use in a look!
Hi Ruth I can truthfully say I don’t own any palettes I haven’t played with, but there is not a huge collection of them to do so. I have the midi Xenon for my birthday on 1st Feb I haven’t touched yet, but only because I’m waiting until my birthday 😂. Previous to that I bought the Dior silver backstage palette when it was released and I have used it many times (I love it). Best of luck incorporating these into EYES this year. I’m a bit nervous re multichromes etc too - my almost 52 year old eyes can look very textured and this can alter how that type of formula performs. Best wishes x
I really like your eyeshadow look! I love to pull out my palettes and look at them and come up with looks I want to do. It's sort of like using them... Lol. I'm at least getting joy out of them. I love your nails by the way!
Ok, now I have watched the video. ❤ I love the Muse palette, but the shade Fig was a little hard to work with. I have stopped buying dupe palettes, mainly because it never stopped me from wanting the real thing so I would end up buying the real one also and having two of the same color story. I will buy dupes of other products, but some, I just want the real deal. I loved your swatch party!! I just swatched out a bunch of my blushes and highlights to remind myself that I don’t need any more. ❤
I find that dupe palettes don't 'scratch the itch' if it's a subpar formula, or if it's color palette that I'll want to reach for often. If it's just "that looks fun to play with but I'm only going to wear it once in a while" that's usually when I'm ok with a dupe.
@@ruthfoley LOL, you know how I am with mindset, but I always ask myself why am II trying a dupe, is it because I was interested in the high end product in the first place, or is it because subconscious I feel like I’m saving money buying a dupe, even if I didn’t have any intention to get the high end product in the first place. 🤔
I have a few of these and haven’t used either.. I feel Alter Ego is typical drugstore quality. Some shadows work better than others. I love seeing Scamps and find it funny he refuses to open the door, you have to open it lol.

Such a good point and something I'm learning about myself! I was absolutely obsessed with finding all the dupes that RUclipsrs etc recommended.
