Last week. EJ is the leader and Fuma sub leader. Just like they did with TXT and Enhypen, they had the whole group take a exam kind of a psychological test for leadership qualities and they were chosen. I think they added Fuma because he is second oldest and can help EJ with the older members, because 1 thing Jungwon has said about being the Enhypen leader is getting the hyung line to cooperate.Fuma can help him especially K and Nicholas since EJ has been with them now for over 2 years they would be more comfortable with not listening than the newer members.

I think K took leadership till this point because he is the oldest- which I think he did a great job on 👍- but they had the guys take a physiological test of types to see which member had the best leadership qualities and EJ was the top candidate. They did the Same with Enhypen and TXT. But they also choose Fuma as the sub leader to help EJ out, probably with the hyung line specifically (Jungwon from Enhypen mentioned one problem he had was getting the Hyung line to work with him, so they probably took that in consideration for EJ as a younger member) and because they (hyungs) are kinda chaotic and have spent so much time with EJ they would be more inclined to not take him as seriously as they would the new members, lol. All that being said, I think EJ and Fuma were a good pick. I liked K as leader, but not only do I think this frees the *heavy* responcibilities of being both *leader and oldest* from him so he can just focus on being hyung and enjoy expressing his free, lively spirit more- but EJ and Fuma are both mature people, have a love and desire to work with and protect each member, and seem 100% willing to take on the spotlight and responcibility. I know for sure the entire group love and respect EJ and Fuma as people, I think they are in a good place to become some fantastic leaders. If I may add my thoughts about the introvert/extrovert side of this (it was a good mention): As a super extrovert-leader type personality, I've learned Extrovert/Introvert has nothing to do with what makes a good/great leader. Introverts tend to be better at the internal and personal issues of the team- which is vital- whereas Extroverts tend to be better at focusing on the external issues of the team- which is also vital. That doesn't mean either one can't balance those out tho. A mature personality knows how to balance those- every great leader who has achieved that was/is dominately an extrovert or introvert. As long as the teams internal and external needs are met, goals are achieved, responcibilites handled well and boundries are respected, both leading methods are great. It depends on the group too whether a extrovert or introvert works better, but in the end as long as the leader can adjust to the teams needs without losing themselves it's all good. I find mature introverts to be some of the best leaders. They are more likely to spend more time securing a firm internal compass (so they can be a more stable leader) and thinking deeply about the teams over all needs and problems- instead of getting caught up or overwhelemd in the external chaos of pleasing the mounting expectations of others, setting and keeping the flaky social mood between the team members + the team and outsiders, and getting hyper focused on others emotional moods over their general needs. Those are all things I and others like me struggle with. Balanced introverted leaders can also be better at getting to know each member personally (especially the other introverts who don't feel as comfortable opening thenselves up) and encouraging them to spend more time on themselves and to take more initiative in their internal growth as a person and in relationships. Usually, when a introvert chooses you as one of those people who they want to keep in their close friend/family circle- they *mean* it. They have thought about it a *lot* (because that close friend circle is a very personal space to them) and will put a lot more into that relationship then most of us super extroverts who make friends easily... introverts don't make close friends as easily so they treasure them more, we make them easily and (sadly) lose them easily too... Because it's easy. To be honest- it's really lonely and painful. So, that being said, when an entire group of guys like this become an introverts family- and a family they are in charge of caring for- know that they *will* do *everything* they can to care for, support, protect, and lead them right. They have not shown the behind the scenes of choosing leader but they did say on their live that EJ did not want to take the role at first & that’s why they also have fuma as their sub-leader. idk, Hybe never really had their oldest as the leader. I think bc K already have too many responsibilities. on top of being the oldest, we all know that K is the face of the group (he’s the most popular). from their MVs/webtoon K is the MC.
In the past, TXT and Enhypen they have the group take and exam and then an interview to see who has the best leadership qualities, for TXT it was Taehyun and Soobin, Taehyun declined. With En- Jungwon and HeeSeung, HeeSeung declined. I think they would have done the same here.

EJ, K, Nicholas & Taki have been training together for years in korea hence he will always be their K hyung. it’s basically an endearment at this point. even the other 5 call him K hyung from time to time. “He’s our hyung!” that’s what they said. 😭 Yes, since Japan is already the second biggest music industry they don’t really need i-fans to sustain the industry. they’re doing so well.
