Nice video. The service is not bad at all - I must say better than or about the same as Qantas. That mid-flight snack is certainly a nice bonus. Most big name airlines only give you 2 hot meals or hot meal and pre-landing snacks, but United is nice enough to feed you 3 times in the air. Plus United (and AA and Delta) is known for its outstanding IFE system.
@@YZsTravelAdventures yeah left LAX around 11pm. Spent the last few days at Disney before we left so was pretty tired. Slept the first 7 hours. Any adapter will do. Also to get their wifi just follow their instructions, although that said it doesn't work if crossing through the Pacific nor Atlantic oceans unless if you're close to land (because water doesn't have reception).
A$2.6k, $2.3k for base economy on United, plus $300 upgrade for this sector to premium economy. Also I flew Australia - USA - Brazil and return so that affected the fare pricing
@@YZsTravelAdventures wow, that's a lot of money! I've never paid more than $500 for an international flight. I've never really thought much about inflight experience, it's always about going from A to B. At least I can experience it through your videos. 🤗
Thank you for this video. I'll be flying out of LAX to Sydney in a couple weeks on the same plane. Can I plug in my laptop? I don't have long battery life. Also, Timtams are the bomb!
I had to get status (star alliance gold) which meant a lot of flying on relatively more expensive fares. So you do pay to get status in terms of flights but you can't pay directly for access.
Hi Yz, just watched your video today as thinking of flying United due to my own disaster with QF. Great video. Could i ask, did you only get the 2 main meals and the snack box? Or did they provide other mini snack meals throughout the flight? Thank you 😊
I only got those two meals and the snack box (because too many empty calories otherwise). But you could get more snack boxes if you asked. Funnily enough the plane was pretty empty and they offered a lot of food for you to try.
@@YZsTravelAdventures I'll be going on this flight later in the week, do they serve alcohol in Economy at all? Normally fly Qantas for this trip but the prices were out of control when we booked vs United.

We're you able to get into the lounges in the US? Delta made it so even if you have status you can't enter without a American express card or first class ticket which sucks. My velocity Amex didn't qualify. 😞
Pretzels in 13+ hours long international flight?🤔 food also look al cheappo. That is why to take Qantas or Singapore Air for this part of the world. You came to USA for burgers! 🤣 thanks for your review of economy class in Boeing Dreamliner.

Great VID mate, well done! Great to see those planes back in the sky too. Very enjoyable.

Good review. Showing us what to expect. Thank you.
Hopefully it's still the same in 2023 haha, but thank you for the comment 😀
Great vid mate. I've subscribed to your channel now. Lucky getting a whole row!! That's like the best outcome when flying Economy for 15ish hours...!
Thanks for the subscription. Hard to say but hopefully being able to get a whole row to yourself does happen again
would you say its about on par with qantas or better/worse? I just got back to Melb from LA a few days ago on QF94, and it was average honestly.
Definitely not as good as Qantas, for sure. Food is average at best, and seats are meh
Brilliant video!!!
Thanks man, hope you enjoyed my other videos. 😍

Yup you can plug anything inside it - all plug types work.
Also, no problem. 😃
So when you ordered the snack box do they just give it to you for free or do you have to pay for it if so how much thank you
They just give it to you for free of course. For long haul international flights they're good in that aspect.

It's great to take an international flight again, wasn't it? The flight was quite empty though. The food on UA looks so so, not very appealing.
Yup, at the time. But tbh UA is very mediocre I'd say HAHAHA
05:55 I hear The Jets being played as everybody boards, I guess it is kind of an appropriate band name given where you are.
Of course, the song is Crush On You- which hopefully wasn’t meant as a subtle reference for United’s seating situation!
hey man great video. The recline must be horrible. How was the customer service.
Service was ok, nothing to say tbh
How did you get access to the lounge if you had an economy ticket ?
Had krisflyer elite gold status (which translates to Star Alliance Gold Status) so that's why
