She is such a graceful and exceptional skater. Both Adelina and Yuna skated beautifully. I hear there is a petiton going around with 1.6 million signatures agreeing that the judging was unfair. I guess we will see what happens... Thanks for that info~
Zagitova, Trusova, Kostornaia, they're all Yulia clones, look that footwork, Zagitova does it very similar. I know, they all have/had the same coach, but the first notorious Eteri's skater was Yulia
Yulia is and was always amazing! I also thought Eteri was a good and supportive coach back then with yulia before sochi.... so sad that we don‘t get to see yulia anymore. Their footwork might be similar and I love zagitova, but noone is ever going to spin like yulia again... 😭
Choicii M Yes and good jumps too. I remember the amazing Caroline Zhang spins, but the jumps were horrible. I don't know if Zagitova will develop her own style, until now she does exactly what she's told (and so far it's been more than enough). I would like to see her work with a non russian choreographer, but that's not gonna happen :/
@diehardHPfanforever They were referring to either Tuktamysheva or Sotnikova. She then talked about Lipnitskaya when she started skating. You misunderstood and thought Tarasova was already talking about Lipnitskaya at the beginning. She was not. By the way, I know Russian as well.
i don't like how this skater is packaged. she's given all the warhorses that are 1) incredibly overused and 2) way too mature for her age. wth are her coaches thinking?

Why are the Russki skaters so young? I bet it's because of the Kremlin, they want the prestige figure skating brings, so they're supporting young skaters. A great crop of young ladies by the way! Also, young skaters have an easier time skaing becuse they're smaller and the physics accommodates them, and they also have a lower center of gravity. Many young skaters falter when they get bigger because they don't realize the physics of skating has changed for them.
I agree. I think this young lady is going to be amazing at SOCHI 2014 and she will be in her home country! Perfect timing. I can't wait to see her develop and amaze the skating world! GOLD is definitely in her future. Hard piece to skate, perform to and she is ONLY 12 in this video!!!!
