This is a fun series with interesting world building, magic implementation, and character developments. There are some distracting discrepancies in some visuals and chronologies, but it all kind-of comes together later on. As you go through this series i think it is important to vocalize any confusing events and try to come up with explanations as they arise.
I would say the best part about this anime is discussing and theorizing after every episode, there are so many hints for what is actually happening in every episode from the first second of the show. That's how this show got such traction while airing, even though it is not the most well-made version of the material.
So happy you guys started this one. Definitely a series that gets better and better with every episode. The world building and skill and magic system are really cool and intricate. Our Nameless Spider is also an awesome protagonist. "Do whatever it takes to survive with a positive attitude", sums her up pretty well. As the story continues you'll see just how unlucky she is, especially when compared to her reincarnated classmates.
that is such a sad adaptation T-T the LN is one of the best out here with a rare balance between comedy and drama. and the only thign that got proper budget was the MC VA.

Its been a while since i watched this. I thought maybe its not as bad as i remembered. Oof that first episode is rough as someone who really loves the light novels. Like giving exposition/explanations of stuff kumoko hasnt figured out yet. Its painful seeing how they adapted it knowing how much better it could have been :(
Honestly, Kumako is kind of the opposite of Rimuru, where Rimuru basically had everything conveniently work out right out of the gate she... didn't. Oh things eventually got better but only after she crawled through literal hell to make it happen.

This is one of my favorite Isekai series (besides the ending of the Light novels), the Light novels and Web novel are both better than the anime but Kumoko (the spider we follow)'s voice actress carried (to an extent) so bits of the anime, also the anime cut out some important bits of lore here and there, but i still love most of this series (other than the human mc and the end of the LN). Also Kumoko only looks like it is shown in the anime in her pov, she actually looks quite a lot like the other spider creatures shown in the series.
