BANG! CONFETTI B**CHES!!!!
we made one with a lamp socket, a screw in fuse, some reload powder, 2" PVC pipe, and a toggle switch. Cut the top out of the screw in fuse. Pack it with powder. Tape the top back over with a little duct tape. Make sure the switch is off and screw the fuse in the socket. mount the socket into the PVC. Fill the pvc with confetti and flip the switch. We used this one in a cannon scene in a play and fire the confetti over the audience. It also makes a heck of a BOOM coming through the PVC.
Imagine this thing is used at a wedding >:]

I’d recommend using Flex Seal products to stick it on with since the coating works extremely STRONG.

It has been several years since I looked it up, but the most prominent ones were New York, Chicago, and I believe New Hampshire and Maryland. In those places, anything that uses a chemical explosive to propel a projectile is classed as a firearm. I believe at this point they have expanded the definition to include compressed air devices as well. Also, in most places this would probably require a pyrotechnics license. Might also be thought to be a pipe bomb by overzealous law enforcement.

it would work but will only go for one or two feet because unlike a flamethrower, which sprays out fuel that stays lit for many seconds allowing it to travel a greater distance, something like hairspray or butane will lit and go right out.

I attatched it to a motion sensor for my front door, and then invited a friend over. Scared the CRAP out of him. Thanks kipkay!
The last time I bought an "exploding confetti cannon" the whole cannon exploded and covered my entire crotch in third degree burns.
I love how i know that i will never even attempt to make this, but the result in the end is still amusing.

Zildjian the only serious choice agreed 100% and awesome cannon.
The little thing he took out of the plane motor burns the flash cotton and paper, which creates a poof of heat and fire, which blows the confetti up out of the tube. The tube is too tall for you to see the actual flame though.
But, I'd seriously love to use this with...more solid objects. You could shoot marbles out with it! :D
You should make a website which has all the parts a person needs to make all the things youve shown how to make. That way you could get a bit of cash to buy more supplies, plus more people will be able to respond and share there opinons on how it worked for them

That was like the most complex thing I've seen a real person do, but he makes it look so easy! "You only need a few parts to make it." LOL
imo best thing to do is to make a fire cannon (sorta like fire works i guess), but just fill the cannon with anything that is relatively explosive my fav is to, put a hole heap of the grey stuff thats on sparklers what kids use at partys in the tube like heaps of it then shove a box of matches anything that makes aloud noise stuff that burns etc lol, and just cram it in that tube and like make sure u tape all that shit together nice and tight for a bigger burst, it looks really awsum :D
I was looking for a confetti cannon to put in my girlfriends locker as an extravagant way to ask her to prom. After the large bang and semi explosion I'm rethinking that.....lol
Whimpy. I upgraded mine to a 6 inch PVC pipe with 1 gallon of gasoline connected and flowed in with a solenoid valve. It worked great. I was the hit of the party. I think. I was the only one that made it out alive.

How exactly does the flash paper and cotton work? which one acts as the propellant? And also how strong is the combination of the two? Do you think I could put some in a rocket and use it as a sort of firework? I know you generally never answer comments, but I figured Id give it a go.

Well, for all the effort put into this, I expected the effect to be a litlle bit more visible at all.

That is totally cool, but you might want to ad a second switch to serve as a safety switch just in case the momentary switch is somehow pushed down as you are loading the cannon.

you are actually wrong flash paper and falsh cotton are not explosive but if put in a air tight pocket it builds up enough presure to blow upward and the glow plug easily gets hot enogh to light the flash cotton. Please correct me if I am wrong because I am into the whole rocket and pyrotechnics hobby, along with a phd in pyrotechnics
insted of it being a confetti canaon you can maker it an airsort morter i tried it and it works!

2 aa batteries? hope you put them in series, glo plugs are only supposed to be used with 1.5 volts, not 3 volts, but with a lot of amps
i just stuffed it with flash cotton and paper alternating each other and fired it, it was a freaking fire ball cannon! only use outside please, i wont be responsible ;P

I like the concept but could we make one with compressed air? The fireball seems a tad dangerous.
