  • Juniper Art Gallery was thrilled to have local videographer, Duane Busick, return for our Regional Artists Spring Exhibit. Duane interviewed artists, patrons, and community members during this festive First Friday Gallery Walk event (April 5, 2024, from 5-8pm). All new artwork by our 30+ Regional Artists was on display for this opening.
Local musician Pat Otto provided special music, and our featured exhibit was "14 Arrangements" paintings by Sharon Martens Ksander, and we were honored to have the artist visit us from the Washington DC area for this special reception. Duane interviewed both Sharon, and her daughter, Yael Ksander, who is an artist herself, plus a long time friend and supporter of Juniper Art Gallery and the greater area arts scene in Bloomington, IN.
With this Spring Exhibit, Juniper welcomed three new artists to our Regional Artists roster, Marc Cornett, Becky Wood, and Rejon Taylor.
Rejon Taylor is an artist/writer who has been incarcerated in federal prison in Terre Haute on Death Row for over 20 years for a crime he committed at the age of 17. Rejon has grown into a thoughtful, loving and expressive visual artist and writer. We were honored to have Rejon's lawyer, Kelley Henry, and his finance, Toitti Simmons, with us for this special evening. Duane interviews both during this video.
Many thanks to all who came out for this First Friday art reception, and to everyone who allowed Duane Busick to interview them. Special thanks to the many artists Juniper represents and to Duane for his time and videography talents!
