The animations and art style are not that bad but the level design and the "sounds" are atrocious.Cuphead is still 1000 times better than this.
Oh come one it’s not all THAT bad. In all honestly, I love the concept for this. Sure it’s NO where as hard as Cuphead but it’s cute nonetheless!

@@BabySeal84 The bosses are pretty creative but it's all ruined by the horrible controlls and the lack of sound effects wich for me is an important thing in a cartoony-style game.
I wish they did more of the animation style swap in battle not just in 2 boss fights it makes me think it was a rushed idea

There's some cool ideas here, but it looks like this just needed way more time in the oven. The lack of sound effects for a lot of things is especially notable. It makes the game just sort of feel empty.
The artstyle changes are great, and I wish they were used more rather than just only being on two bosses.
Also I think the shield move shouldn't exist. Like, the player was able to just constantly sit in a single spot the entire time because of it. That's just kind of lame game design.

@@Erven777 And Enchanted Portals could have been of a higher quality if more time was spent developing it, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.
The animations aren't that bad really the problem is the main artstyle is like cuphead which makes much better job with animation and keeping the style with it.
Then... The designs are actually interesting and change of artstyles is fun idea, pity that they didn't kept it that much than staying in rubberhose style.
I would say that I would rather use some rigged animated sitcom style. As there's plenty of times notuceable using that technique.
But as some people said about the game. I have to agree with them. The sound effects are atrocious.
Especially the damage one which is just smash sound that RUclipsrs use very commonly. It doesn't fit the game.
And another one... The UI is horrible.
The boss bar is bigger than PC's bar which functions completely differently. I didn't even noticed at first player had any bealth at all. Aditionally. It's so awkwardly placed.
I agree with everything else but not about the style, because Cuphead don't owns the artstyle it use, like really, it's so obvious what art style delevopers used, it's like Disney owns it's classic films but the story for inspiration was written by other people,. The main problem that the game built like Cuphead but much worse.
The Frog Princess Boss looks like a combination of Cagney Carnation and The Root Pack
If it was a demo I'll give it to you but if the full game is that bad I'd better buy the cuphead

@@LuquitasHD yes but they hired people to make the game good which means it was made by more than two. The brothers were the creators, but multiple people made the game. This is why Enchanted Portal’s credits are so small compared to cuphead
this game is not bad, definitely deserves some updayes with polish, looks pretty empty with not many sounds and all that, still, its pretty good

i dont think its as bad as ppl say but could def use some more time in the oven. i do really like the idea of the characters artstyles changing depending on the boss / story they are in

In my opinion it's unfair to compare this game to Cuphead, we're talking about two developers being compared to an entire team funded by Microsoft.
About the criticisms, in my opinion they are correct, this game seems to have been released before it should have, with not good level design and sounds

I was really excited for this game. But it looks like a flash game, and sounds like a 2009 cool math games game. Like the visuals are good and all, but it still needs polish. You also know it's unfinished when you can finish it in about 20 mins
If I had a dollar for every sound effect all of the bosses have between them, I’d have like two or three dollars.

And yeah, I wont buy it, but I'll warn others about dev's that don't care and are looking for a cash grab. Yeah,, indie games are hard to make, some are good, some are great, this one sucks. I'm extra upset this one sucks though, cause I love Cuphead, and I was hoping this could be like getting a Cuphead sequel. However, the devs don't care, and that's unfortunate. This had so much potential.

this feels like one of those broken mobile games, not a 30 dollar game..
I just feel like the fights are way too repetitive, the reason I loved Cuphead was because of the sheer chaos each level had. But here, it just isn’t hitting as hard.
Betoven was the best boss, but lasted the shortest for some reason.
This game should’ve been released as like a demo, maybe for like no more than 10 dollars, just so the devs could make a little money to fund the game. This game would’ve gotten a lot more slack if this was a demo, but it’s not. It’s a full, 20$ release, with controls, story, and levels that are just not it
Is it me or are all the songs the same theme, just tweaked to fit the setting?
I don't know if it's just me, but the sound design is so atrocious, the stock sounds bring down the music tenfold, makes it feel like it's all from some shitty free sound gallery (nothing wrong with using those if you're starting out btw) but this doesn't feel finished, it feels like a playtester demo.
this also looks way lamer then what was shown some point in time, no?
the art only gets only better in cutscenes.
last thing,
this is objectively worse then cuphead, it's lacking any and all game feel.
cuphead had actually amazing sound design, merely shooting and hitting a boss always feels satisfying,
not to mention how every boss had some creative transition, meanwhile here they just a show a silent cutscene and it immediately cuts to the next phase, lazy.
edit: I forgot to mention the awful game design, cuphead was beautiful in how you could see how everything, was moving, if you get hurt, it's always your fault.
here they introduce a shield, which is very clearly a bandage on the fact that they can't design these well at all. shit gets thrown around randomly, and if there's something you outright can't dodge, then whatever we won't fix it just add a invincibility shield lol

The game looks pretty basic and stiff, certain levels repeat and have a lot of empty spaces, and most of the boss fights feel uninspired and also just as basic (except for the Alien Cow boss fight). This game is pretty impressive on some of it's gymicks (like when the artstyle changes), especially when it was made by two people, but it really shouldn't be 25$.... (especially since Cuphead is worth less)
I can kill bosses missing attacks dude that so awful for me but good gameplay
They have to do a heck ton more better than this.

I wouldn’t call this poor game a rip off of Cuphead more like inspired. Rubber hose(That is the art style Cuphead used).If only they worked a little more longer on this game. Idk it just feels so empty, maybe they should’ve some more sound effects for the bosses/attacks.

this game shouldn't have released when it did. its clear that they didn't have anyone to playtest it. movement imo are pretty janky, run and gun levels are either hard if you try to rush them or very boring if you don't, when I left the game and joined back all my save data was gone and I don't believe they implemented a save feature, there is no transitions for bosses, it feels very rushed, i can literally hear whenever a song loops so they didnt even bother to make it atleast seem like it didnt loop, when you change keybinds and you leave you have to change them again, and there is no excuse for how garbage this game is. should be maybe like 5 bucks, not the same price as cuphead
