      Depending how heavy your bike is you may notice the quarter pound of savings.
      2010 ish my bike was like 21.5 without ti. Ti spindle was the only savings I really noticed weight wise unless I did literally everything.
      Pinch bolts in my primo power bites. Spindle. Sprocket bolt. Stem bolts seat clamp and pivot bolt plus all my brake bolts plus wheels bolts and nuts. Was like .5 of a pound in savings total. But in some of the areas I also ran shorter bolts.
      Ti spindle for 22mm amd now 24mm is like the only ti upgrade that really makes sense. Rear hub parts being second. Spokes just go butted and alloy nipples, alloy nipples are generally a no no with titanium, and you can get stronger and lighter then ti with butted. Also butted is way cheaper, and means just run a slightly heavier tire and weenie tubes and rim tape and over all you're lighter and more durable and saved rotating weight further out on the wheel which helps more.
      Stem bolts doesn't save much weight. Lower on the list. Spindle bolts 7075 works fine just use anti seize. And it's lighter and cheaper. Sprocket bolt well spline drive is lighter. And tree makes the best sprockets non guard and are light.
      Brake bits. It helps. But you can technically save almost as much running shorter bolts in some areas. Lever bolts. And you can get away with aluminum bolts in those areas if they're 7075.
      Hollow seat bolt is as light and stronger. Seat clamp you can get away with aluminum in alot of cases. But hollow is also fine. And saves like maybe an ounce with a nut swap too.
      With 22 and 24mm unless you're really big. It's unlikely you'll twist one. Dudes been running 22mm ti in street in the weenie era and just keeping in it for time.

    Are you talking about just the ti spindle or the entire cranks being ti? Because these are not the only ti spindle or cranks you can buy. Or the fact is 24 mm

    I’ve had a titanium axle in my cranks in the past, the crank arms because of them being steal the splines wear out in side the crank arms and then I started getting crank wobble 👍🚲💨

    Really cool, hope we get an update in some months. Does he have a website?
    I wonder if it fits churchill cranks, bc I read somewhere that 24mm cranks have like 4 different spindle standards unlike 19mm.

    • @bmxriderforlife1234
      @bmxriderforlife1234 8 месяцев назад

      19mm has multiple spline standards but shit is close enough it's a non issue.
      22mm has more standards then 24mm as far as I'm aware and it's like 3 maybe 4.
      24mm in bmx as far as I'm aware is like 2 unless we count certain vintage stuff. (Well modern mid school but like 3 brands did a crank that was 22mm bb but one side was 24mm splines and they were 2.5 piece cranks 1 spindle bolt but arms could separate. Fly and colony were one)

    Silver anti seize is semi abrasive.
    If you want to use any kind of anti seize use the white food grade stuff, because it uses Teflon, rather than copper or alum

    When do we need to lube our chains, once a month?

    • @anotheryoutuber_
      @anotheryoutuber_ 8 месяцев назад

      clean and lube as often as you can, dont just add lube if you want the longest service life.

    • @michaelevans6205
      @michaelevans6205 8 месяцев назад

      Yes clean then lube as much as needed. This mostly depends on how dusty ya riding gets. If you ride perfect indoor and skate parks only its alot less. If you ride dusty streets and dirt jumps alot it's more. Really just depends on how dirty yo style is😂 haha .
