- In 1990, Mercedes-Benz released the 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II. Building off the success of the EVO I, Mercedes, without realizing it, had developed the EVO II to be one of the best compact sports saloons in the world and captured Mercedes-Benz its first DTM title in 1992. Sadly, the EVO II had a short production span only running from 1990 to 1991. But what if Mercedes didn't discontinue the 190 EVO production? What would the EVO III look like? In this episode of "Rendered," Khyzyl uses his imagination to explore the possibilities of a 190 EVO III that's a bit of a restomod of the EVO II. Would the EVO III be a two-door? Would it be a more race-ready version of the EVO II? Let us know in the comments what you think the EVO III would have looked like.

This one was an absolute blast to create, and it isn't slammed! Not sure what was more difficult, trying to figure out how I wanted the body to look, or trying not to slam it haha. Hope you all enjoyed this one, I don't think the original can ever be improved upon or topped in terms of styling, but this is just my own interpretation of what "could be" essentially. Interested to hear what you all think could be powering it?!
Great job, as always! I feel like the current turbo 2.0 AMG hybrid setup from the upcoming C63 would be ideal as you're keeping the 4-cylinder spirit of the original with an eye towards the future.
Not even joking, I've been slowly restoring what I've been calling "A Kyzhyl Saleem inspired190E" for the last for 4 years. I check LTO every week just hoping you'll build a kit for this car some day. Love what you do, you really have no idea the inspiration you've been on me and our custom emblem business...
Maby R129(600SL SL600) or clk-GTR racing version making it elektro not futuristic, but you might make it from scratch hehe :D

I am a "form follows function guy" and absolutely hate it when cars look to low to be derivable or when the camber on the wheels is overdone. Therefore I hated the first two examples of what you did with it in the past. This one though, I like.

Looks sick man, my Dad had a silver one of these back in the days, loved it! The only thing I would change is the rear lights and put 3 bars instead of 2 - EVO III

One key change tho, when going 2-door you always move the B-pillar rearwards, in the case of the 190 I’d say 80-100mm.
Yes - this was not done on that Delta which actually is it’s main design flaw. (It has a few more too..) Obviously, this made the prototype much easier to build! :)
I used to do this sort of thing years ago as a kid on Sketchup, but not to this level. Looks awesome and need to try and give it a go myself
I used to push my Dad's 190e away from the house at night and drive it around when I was a teenager best times
Mom had one in high school and I miss is to this day. At least for US a somewhat rare manual transmission. A blast to drive

Having grown up seeing them racing every weekend in DTM on TV or even live at the track, this really hurts... I'm deeply sorry, because I see your effort as well!
I haven't seen them on DTM, but got to love them cuz a neighbour of mine had one of these when I was a kid. Stancing a car like that, restomodding...it basically removes the character for some newage gimmicks.
The 190 being one of my favourite cars since I saw so many of them growing up - most of them as taxis (bless being German!) - I really appreciate your take on the Evo. The colourway seems fitting these days.. The one thing I'd really change, however, is the lights, front and back. I love the old school lights of 25-plus-year-old cars, especially the orange indicators and the red taillights. They give these cars some charater in my opinion. I always had a strong dislike for those clear or full-black tuner taillights and indicators. Apart from that, great project and who (of the car enthusiasts) wouldn't like this being made by Mercedes, however unrealistic it may be.
This is an amazing effort. Love the wider body, and rear end treatment. Rear tails and inset logo look great. The front end is a bit to busy for me with it being exposed carbon while the car is silver. The headlights also are a bit of a distraction with the center bar light. I do like the venting on next to the headlight and the rail style parking lights. Lastly though...I want it to be a 4 door. That was always one of the biggest draws for me with the 190 2.3-16 vs the e30 M3, but I have always liked sedans and wagons over coupes.

You can definitely notice that it's a (or based on the) 190E. Really liking the looks of it. Love the rims and that little spoiler extension.
Only thing I would change is the air inlet of the fenders in the front of the car. Those right next to the big air intake where the indicators used to be.
Since there already is an air intake, they look kinda out of place. To me at least xd But overall really nice! :D

I do appreciate Kyza’s effort but most of his work, as is this as well, does seem more like a caricature for social media likes rather than a design that makes any sense at all.

I typically design to my own tastes and styles, hence why so many people tend to either love or hate what I create, which im ok with. Social Media & "likes" is always just a bi-product of that and something that isn't sought out, nor has it ever been. If I created art for likes, my portfolio would be very different! haha. Coming from a Sci-fi, Cyberpunk & gaming background, I like to create things that are more outlandish & hypothetical. This is all just a virtual sketchbook for me in a way :)
It's definitely fun designing things for the real world also!

This is one of the coolest resto mods I have ever seen. If Mercedes decided to bring back the 180 as your design or similar as an electric, I would snatch it up in a heart beat!

When you said restomod I got so excited, but you butchered it... it looks like a match box on wheels: too extruded (nota bene, I love wide body cars), the front is especially bad. What it needs is flowing, elegant lines of the Alfa Romeo 159 or the 1st generation mazda6 station wagons... it's too boxy, too rough and lacks elegance (and who knows what the air drag coefficient would be?) A car can look fast standing still and yet have flowing, elegant lines, look at the 5th generation Camaro ZL1.

love the art, inspired for the rear, contrast makes me cringe in the front
bumper square bars makes it look dated (80's) thats why it feels like a tuning job and not a whole new interpretation
the 190 EvoII character is defined just as much by the shape/feel as well as the sound/dynamic of the iconic 2.5L engine...this would simply be ruined by electrification.

It looks amazing man I love the way did but it probably would still look good with four door. And I think if Mercedes were to remake a version of this it would still have the 4 cylinder along with electric motors.
I wish Kyza would make a tutorial that teaches engineering students how to use 3ds or a kind of CAD program one day.

The orange sidelights are no sidelights. These are indicators and essentially for every European road version of a car. So you have to put orange indicators on the sides to keep the original functionality. - If this car was meant to be a homologation model.

It’s always interesting watching someone model in 3d max. It’s black magic to me. The car has got nice angles but I think the front is a bit over complicated just for the sake of it and to me missing the orange is definitely noticeable. I think original had an amazing aero dynamic properties (I might be wrong) and your interpretation kind of messing with it. Nice content regardless. Thank you!
Being from Portugal, I absolutely kept hoping you would do the base colour black after seeing the colour you chose for the accents. Then you show it and I crack up seeing what is basically a race-y version of the quintessential Portuguese Taxi! 🇵🇹👍🏻
It's a great start, needs refinement 25% less aggression, adjust angles to flow and less weight at the rear.. But never the less great design direction!
The headlights and and front bezels don't look good, stockish Evo ll headlights would look better. Love the rest though.

The word "evo" in car-talk confuses me. It's a Mitsubishi, but also used to describe evolution. :puzzled:
merc evolution came well before mitsu. Even mercedes evo 2 came before mitsu evo 1

Very creative treatment of the tail lights. I would have carried that design to the headlights too -- as it stands, the front end is a little too "Chrysler 300 with a body kit" because of the lights and the flat grille.

Blender requires less graphical power then you'd expect. On of my rigs runs it just fine with a GTX 1060 6g, Memory and CPU are much more important.
My main rig has an Nvidia RTX 3070ti , Intel i7-12700K and 64gb of memory and everything is super smooth.
