@@PASSTHEauxCORD good. By the way don't let the brat influence get out of hand in you, it's for the best.
The more you listen to do me a favour the more you'll cry listening to it xD
‘I think that a typo’ - nope that’s just the Yorkshire dialect haha
Sheffield*
@@joepn that's in Yorkshire bro
Same here in Canada. We're very much influenced by U.K dialect, as are most English colonies.
as someone who loves all of these albums i love hearing people's insights on them and yours are really interesting! can't wait for you to review humbug & tbhc, some of their best lyrics i reckon
Nice reaction man. While you're at it, can you react to The Last Shadow Puppets? It's Alex Turner's side project and they're criminally underrated.
505 is definitely not about drugs if it was it wouldn't have lyrics like "I'd probably still adore you with your hands around my neck" or "But I crumble completely when you cry".
The way I understood it, it's him relating the moments with his ex where he felt that he was losing her slowly, the lack of affection of their relationship, and how, nowadays, he is using drugs to remember the earlier times of his relationship when they were in a good place, and he was happy.
Also, Old Yellow Bricks is a Wizard of Oz reference
Only ones who know is so underrated. Glad you like it. The third album will surprise you. They have a bit different sound and feel to it but it's soooo good
Literally one of my favourite songs, so good!
They don't have a bad album
Except the ones after favourite worst nightmare
Tranquility Base and AM are the worst ones.
@@PASSTHEauxCORD there's no objective good or bad but if the first two are good (which I think they very much are) then the last two are shite (which I can again agree with)
@@PASSTHEauxCORD don't worry mate I'm sort of being a dickhead anyway. Nice channel btw you just got recommended
@@PASSTHEauxCORD haha yeah you're right
15:28 - 16:30 Graphic description of me every time I listen Do me a favour
I've always seen Balaclava as hiding insecurities and keeping up this false bravado in a sense. Being afraid to open up and show who you really are (but that might just be because of my own experiences :))
I thought the same about fluorescent adolescent..its sounds very nostalgic and it takes me back to the good times. I often light one up and listen to this song.
My fav song on this album is pro d is for dangerous but overall my fav song is probably I bet you look good on the dancefloor from the first album
I saw from your comment that you’re doing Humbug next. Your music tastes are obviously different but among hardcore Arctic Monkey fans, Humbug is the consensus favorite
Oh, so excited for Humbug. My favorite album
Me toooooo 🤘🏻 my fav so far
This album is the most melancholic one i feel , very good tough. Looking forward to Humbug, my favorite album from them since it is the soundtrack from my teenage years
I can't choose a fav AM album.
Nice Review
In my opinion 505 is a take on saying SOS, going back to a state of pain and needing help and old yellow bricks is a huge wizard of Oz reference
Intresting fact "the bad thing" has never been played live. AM never wanted it on the album but record company made them.
FWN YEAAAAAAAA.... waiting patiently for humbug
I feel like there isn't a 'bad' song or one that I would skip by these.
The bag thing is a terrible song
@@FormulaProg No
Listen to their B-Sides, especially the ones from this album, they are great!
Very high qualitative review! Can't wait for Humbug (the real masterpiece).
"I think that's a typo" got me cracking up
I'd choose balaclava over this house is a circus in your bottom 3 list but actually you're the man by putting do me a favour as top 1!
Hey would you review our album?
just found this in my recommended. this is such good quality for a small channel haha you need way more subs for this kind of work ethic. plus its great seeing so many reactions to my fave band, keep it up! much love
old yellow bricks is based on the wizard of oz actually!! arctic monkeys take a lot of inspo from older films!!! another ex) the opening chords from 505 are from the good, the bad, and the ugly
“dorothy was right though” is a reference to her wanting to get out of kansas in the beginning but wanting to go back by the end of the movie, which is a diversion from the usual “i wanna get out of here” narrative that punk rock songs tend to have
HEYBen ,I know it's late but when reviewing f,p,p ep by the strokes oblivius, how did you react when julian became a choir boi for 16 seconds at the end?
Ahohaaohaohaoahoah
Appreciate the personal emotional connection you brought forward with some of these song reviews. That’s what music is about ❤️
As a man who grew up listening to the genius of the AM’s, your insights are very well thought out and eloquent my friend.
love seeing people reacting to my favorite band
yesss!! i love this album, i really feel like if you like one song you’ll like all of them which is why it’s one of my all time favourites, it’s feels different, more playful and fun for AM. i’m glad you liked it.
BRO DID YOU JUST SERIOUSLY TALK DURING 505???
@@PASSTHEauxCORD i was just kidding lol
I think everyone can relate to only ones who know
you should definitely listen to Oasis
PASSTHEauxCORD if you do there first two albums are so much better than the rest of their albums but they do have one two or three good songs on the newer albums, however the less well known songs on the albums aren’t as good
Why the fuck no one is talking about If You Were There, Beware? This is my favorite album by them and this song is the really masterpiece of the album for me. Is the song that have everything, everything that they do through the entire album is represented in this amazing and fucking underrated song!
Great fucking reaction mate. Hope you will like Humbug as much as i do
And he's back.
One thing I've noticed with AM (and Alex in general) is that my favourite songs are the quiet ones but the songs I come back to the most are the loud and methodically chaotic ones, Do Me A Favour and Brianstorm e.g.
2:08 it’s not a typo, it’s just how people from the north of England talk
i just started listening to reviews of albums i love ...And ive been checking out brad taste in music.liked him alot. but then i found this guy. who 1, actually listens to every word of the lyrics instead of talking over them and missing the point. And 2, is a total a sweetheart. u can hear the sincerity in his voice n see it in his gestures. This album made him all emotional. i had the same reactions.
Wow how have i just found your channel now, you're great at breaking down songs, honestly this and their debut you reviewed is the best breakdown of the arctic monkeys ive ever seen
Absolutely brilliant breakdown/reaction. Good on you brother.
idk if you've listen to Mcr's Black Parade before, if not check it out its an amazing Pop Punk/Emo/Rock Opera album
@@PASSTHEauxCORD wow cool! nice to see another mcr fan. I think you should check out Brand New's devil and god if you havent already, it's a pretty solid Emo/Post Hardcore album i would say it goes toe to toe with Black Parade instead of dealing with death it deals more with depression.
Love this album and class review! Had to subscribe
Let's continue with Humbug!
Can't wait for your opinion of humbug!
The RUclips recommendations coming out with another banger
PASSTHEauxCORD if you’re looking for another album to react/review, I recommend The Stone Roses by the Stone Roses. Absolutely superb album.
20:43 jebaited
Why does the audio cut out of the blue.
@@PASSTHEauxCORD okay, hope you don't get many of those.
I told ya, buddy. :)
Would be so much better if you listen the song a little bit and speak less
Just a comment, not an attack
is better than just listening in silence but yes you are right
@@PASSTHEauxCORD, I think a happy medium would be a "natural" reaction to the songs as if listening to it by yourself in real time, then upon each song's conclusion providing your insightful thoughts and expanding upon them. I also want to be sure I emphasize my appreciation of you providing entertainment regardless of whether you employ this hopefully constructive feedback. Keep it up.
there is tho, gives the viewer a chance to just take it in too. again, feedback not an attack, great vid
react it all, please
