This is like the opposite direction I'd imagine a Minecraft movie could go, and as a longtime minecraft fan I'm kind of dissapointed at what was shown here. The quality of the footage is just too high, put the budget into an actual sustainable story and make this movie worth watching, because at this moment it's just the Mario movie again. You gotta lock tf in.
I have mixed opinions about this. When I said that it may work if Live Action were to transition into an animated medium, this wasn't exactly what I had in mind. A part of me likes it, because of the attention to detail that was put into this movie. But a part of me hates it, because of the uncanny vibe it's been giving me.

At first, I thought they were just gonna make the entire thing 3d animation (with CGI effects), but it turns out it's just a CGI live action film about people getting stuck in another world! See? This is why video game movie plots just end up amazing once you see them in action! Another thing, it's funny seeing Steve look entirely like Jack Black other than making a CGI model out of him, but who cares? It's still good!
