    Thank you for sharing. Same exact thing happened to me. No gestational sac on 5weeks, no pain, no bleeding. Was told to do another transvaginal ultrasound the following week. Then they saw the mass measuring 4.5cm, with fetal pole and cardiac activity. My right fallopian tube has been removed this Nov. 5, 2021 because the mass was too big. It’s just so painful because it was our first pregnancy. 🥺😭 I cry every day, every night. 😭😫 I’m hoping to get pregnant again next year. ☹️

    Maybe I am missing something but 80->120 is a 50% increase (40 points is 50% of 80)...and 120->230 is almost double (ie close to 100% increase). I just went through this in May and some of my increases were also about 50% which is too low... 35->38->65->90-> 235->420->630->810->900 -> Methorexate

Me and my wife have been trying to conceive again (not our first) for quite a while and it's been a struggle. She's on clomid right now and every time she gets her period is a little sad. Si sorry for your loss 😢😢 I wanted to ask.. I found out a week ago that im pregnant. I’m still pretty early I calculate about 5 weeks and I’ve been having period like cramps..since even before I took pregnancy test I had those. Thinking I would get my period but then started feeling bit nauseous and my breast started feeling sore.. so I decided to take a home test. Obviously it was positive but I was still having those cramps.. And how I feel cramp pain on my left side of my lower abdomen all the way to my thighs. I haven’t seen any bleeding.. is this concerning??? Btw it’s my first pregnancy ever so I’m completely clueless 😕 I’d appreciate your opinion

    • @BedtimeBookworm
      @BedtimeBookworm  3 года назад

      I've always heard that if you have cramping OR bleeding, it's probably normal, its more when you have them together that's a concern. Both are really common during early pregnancy. If you have sharp shooting pains that last awhile that's definitely more concerning. Of course, if you are concerned you should speak with a medical professional! I wish you the best of luck with your first pregnancy! ❤

    Jade, thank you for making this video, for your bravery in sharing such a painful story. Because infertility and pregnancy loss is such a lonely state of being. I am glad to hear it was not as bad as it could have been and you are able to try again. I will be sending all the baby wishes your way!
    As soon as I saw the title I had to click. So much of your story is very familiar to me, all that TTC language. I’m going to share a little of my story which has a painful beginning and middle and a happy end but feel free not to read if you’d rather not.
    I had also tried for a little over a year when I started seeing a RE and was diagnosed unexplained infertility. First, I opted to have surgery for a uterine septum he discovered (and which could have increased chance of miscarriage) which meant I had to take a short break from TTC. After, the RE recommended IUI, Clomid and an hcg trigger to time ovulation and miraculously I got pregnant the first round. At that point we had tried for 17 months. My first US at 7 weeks I learned I was having twins and we were shocked, thrilled, nervous. A week later I had a follow up US and learned we had lost one of them. It’s called vanishing twin and I wouldn’t have known it if I wasn’t being closely followed like you. But it was devastating and hearing you talk about your traumatic US was very familiar. I was terrified for at least half of that pregnancy but I continued to carry the remaining twin and he will be four in December.
    Most miraculously when we went to try again, I expected trouble and was at least fully prepared to do IUI again. But that time I got pregnant the first try (imagine my absolute shock) and my youngest son is 20 months.
    I know hearing of others losses and successes can be both helpful and painful so I hope it wasn’t the latter (if you read it). I found so much support from other women TTC online. I look forward to hearing happy news from you someday!!

      Wow, thank you for sharing your story Rebecca, it means a lot to me! IUI is definitely the next step my doctor recommends, but I'm hoping to ease into that. I'm hopeful we won't need it since I was able to get pregnant with just letrozole but I know it's the next step when we are ready to take it. I'm so glad your story had a happy ending (although losing one twin must have been devastating and scary) and that your second pregnancy was easier to conceive, something I've heard from others as well. Hopefully I will have better news to share soon as well. Thank you again for your kind comment and your support! ❤❤

    My ectopic pregnancy experience was a lot like yours in that I was testing almost every day prior to my period so knew I was pregnant very early & caught it early on. I had no rupture, but was so confused when I started bleeding and the ER told me I lost it. Then I went to my follow up appointment where they told me my beta numbers were doubling, and that I most likely had a viable pregnancy. Then when they did the ultrasound and showed nothing, my heart shattered. My doctors actually never located my ectopic pregnancy. Therefore I had to get the shot, which I was okay with. It was such a weird, sad experience. I hope you & your husband have a healthy pregnancy in the future.

    I'm so sorry. I'm glad making this video is helping you come to terms with it. I only recently started following your channel. I had a miscarriage last year, and while not ectopic, I had some of the same things as you, the really faint second line on the pregnancy test and my HCG not rising fast enough. I had a US at 7 weeks and they moved my due date back one whole week. Two weeks later, I had an emergency US and found out there was no heartbeat. We've been TTC for almost 3 years now and because of my age, who knows if things will work out. Anyway, thanks for your story. It helps to hear other people's stories.

I wanted to watch this video because I have several friends who are trying to get pregnant, and one who did have an ectopic pregnancy, and I wondered how one finds out they have an ectopic pregnancy. I'm really glad your situation was a best-case scenario and that you're able to feel more ok now.
    And that's definitely weird about 2020 being a difficult year, because in addition to everything going on with covid, etc, so many of my friends are suffering the worst they have in a long time, like deaths in the family, divorces, etc, much more so than in a typical year. It's so strange, and I really hope that ends in 2021.

    Its a misconception that HCG cannot rise with ectopic. HCG can rise normally with ectopic. My HCG was 4300 at 6 weeks and at 7 weeks when it ruptured it reached 20,000 like normal preg but the uterus showed nothing and a mass could be seen on my left with a lot of fluid in douglas pouch. I had laprotomy and methotrexate was not even an option left for me.

    My surgeon said 10-15% risk of ectopic. I'm a pretty positive person so I heard "85-90% chance it won't happen to you". But it did. Then my other tube ended up blocked. I'm a super lucky person sometimes. Honestly, I regret going tr and not straight to ivf, but it isn't worth dwelling on and eventually things worked out. It just took a lot of heartache, faith, and money to get my gorgeous daughter. It is truly a leap of faith and boils down to either it'll work or it won't.

I'm glad that nowadays that people are more open to discussing pregnancy loss as it's such a lonely thing to go through, even with a partner and family in your life, it felt like it was only happening to me because it was MY body that was experiencing it and nobody else was really discussing it.
