@@astroterf. sadly F1 changes too much to see the same type of champions as before. Vettel, Max or Lewis have only ever been trully great in one single team and environment (I know about the McLaren days for Lewis but it was a single minor change, I'll consider him on parr with Senna Prost Lauda or Schumacher if he wins with Ferrari, as we both know is unlikely to happen). I'd love to see Max leave Red Bull and proove he's not just Adrian Newey's drone on track. I do believe, despite my disliking of him, that he is the best pilot we've got on the grid right now (potential exception for rookie Alonso). But I'm confident other talents will come if they are just given a chance. Piastri is still hitting his pace. Pourchaire Drugovich and Antonelli are just waiting for a chance to show what they're made of ! If FIA could just get their shit together we may very well still have a few great years in front of us, here's hoping !

Man! You hit the nail on the head with the veteran. I've been watching F1 for more than 20 years and I'm a Raikkonen fan:) Since Kimi left I don't feel the same emotions when I watch races. Probably the happiest I've been, kinda became a casual with the knowledge.

Im 54 and love McLaren. I think the drivers are so wholesome and I like the fact that the team are fighting and making strides forward. But I do miss the old drivers like Kimi and Vettel...and, of course, I love Alonso (and Yuki because hes hilarious). And you are definitely right Grosjean was very pretty but so are Hamilton and Sainz...Charles, Lando and Oscar are just babies.

I’m a veteran female American F1 fan, 4 decades in. I have to address this first - NASCAR is an abomination- it’s not racing, it’s beer drinking with a show attached. And side note: Danica should have never been asked to comment on F1… she whined and complained almost every day she was a driver and for that reason alone doesn’t deserve to even be hosting an F1 party. Sargeant and Tsunoda shouldn’t even have seats… along with Stroll. I watched two seasons of drive to survive, barely stomaching the second and boycotted it after that. I gave Megan the stallion major shit for her crap disrespect of Brundle on the grid…at least know your audience if you’re going to use F1 for clout. I love this sport. I don’t always love everything happening in it. Stopped watching for over a decade when Senna died (tons of bs going on in F1 back then too and Senna is the actual all time 🐐 Seriously F’ed me up along with so many others watching him die live in real time). Came back just in time to be a Button fan in 2007 and major Papa Smurf fan- best dad on the grid, greatly missed. I miss Charlie Whiting so badly. JB17 forever. Up until i was about 16 years old (2016) the only thing that i had a memory of F1 was going to and watching the 2006 US GP from the infield. Fast cars always excited me and obviously as an American NASCAR and IndyCar were my motorsports of choice. I have fond memories of the race, then 10 years later i stumble across the highlights for the 2016 Hungarian GP and i picked it back up again. And if you did not know Red Bull used to have a NASCAR team and it so happened to be my favorite team growing up for the small stint they were a team, so naturally i gravitated towards Red Bull and watching interviews with Daniel and having a kid like Max next to him like how could you not root for them. Its 2016 theyre not first hell theyre not even the second best car yet they're still trying to win after 4 peating with Seb from 2010-2013. Thats what gravitated me towards Red Bull Racing. And now 8 years later it brings me joy to see them dominating. And i guarantee thats how Lewis fans and Mercedes fans felt after they signed Lewis for 2013 onward and going onto absolutely dominate the sport. Even with Michael Schumacher fans who were fans of him in sports cars and then the Benneton/Ferrari fans after he takes the sport by storm. Its a sense of pride knowing you're happy for something that has absolutely nothing to do with your life. Even if you are a bandwagoner fan rooting for whoever is on top, its still brings them joy and thats all this sport is about. Entertainment to bring fans joy. This is the type if F1 fan I am.

Im 54 and love McLaren. I think the drivers are so wholesome and I like the fact that the team are fighting and making strides forward.
But I do miss the old drivers like Kimi and Vettel...and, of course, I love Alonso (and Yuki because hes hilarious). And you are definitely right Grosjean was very pretty but so are Hamilton and Sainz...Charles, Lando and Oscar are just babies.

I got introduced to f1 when I was ~8 years old because my older brother would wake up early to watch the races on the TV. I remember picking a person to root for based on whose last name was the coolest (I picked Vettel) and then I never watched another race again. But, it has somehow infected my RUclips recommended so I have now binge watched all your vids.
I'm that one semi-veteran who didn't watch but knew F1 well and recently watched once Netflix reminded me to become hardcore and was always a chill Lewis Hamilton, and want to go more into the past to learn more and become more of a nerd...

I’m a veteran female American F1 fan, 4 decades in. I have to address this first - NASCAR is an abomination- it’s not racing, it’s beer drinking with a show attached. And side note: Danica should have never been asked to comment on F1… she whined and complained almost every day she was a driver and for that reason alone doesn’t deserve to even be hosting an F1 party. Sargeant and Tsunoda shouldn’t even have seats… along with Stroll. I watched two seasons of drive to survive, barely stomaching the second and boycotted it after that. I gave Megan the stallion major shit for her crap disrespect of Brundle on the grid…at least know your audience if you’re going to use F1 for clout. I love this sport. I don’t always love everything happening in it. Stopped watching for over a decade when Senna died (tons of bs going on in F1 back then too and Senna is the actual all time 🐐 Seriously F’ed me up along with so many others watching him die live in real time). Came back just in time to be a Button fan in 2007 and major Papa Smurf fan- best dad on the grid, greatly missed. I miss Charlie Whiting so badly. JB17 forever. Please add the additional hater who just hates the FIA now. I’m a huge TeamLH fan (thanks for the great music for TeamLH) dropped Button after he won the world championship - I had to hang in there with him till then though because he was the classiest guy on the grid and raced fairly so that loyalty was there-BUUUUUT, Lewis was like a freight train of fire in 2007/2008 and beyond and he just reminded me so much of Senna (he was my back up driver when I was a Button fan and flipped them in 2010) Now he’s a bit more like Prost, so I’m hoping that all changes back to Senna vibes again next year. I’m a semi chill fan with a lot of batshit crazy about AD21 (again fuck the FIA, Fuck Horner, Fuck fuck fuck) I also love Le Clerc and nearly passed out when Lewis announced Ferrari (I’m American Italian, so it was a triple bonus (better car, Le Clerc, and the legendary Tifosi). Gunther Steiner is the best thing to have happened to the American team to date. And you can tell I’m older cause I post long ass comments to videos I like. Up until i was about 16 years old (2016) the only thing that i had a memory of F1 was going to and watching the 2006 US GP from the infield. Fast cars always excited me and obviously as an American NASCAR and IndyCar were my motorsports of choice. I have fond memories of the race, then 10 years later i stumble across the highlights for the 2016 Hungarian GP and i picked it back up again. And if you did not know Red Bull used to have a NASCAR team and it so happened to be my favorite team growing up for the small stint they were a team, so naturally i gravitated towards Red Bull and watching interviews with Daniel and having a kid like Max next to him like how could you not root for them. Its 2016 theyre not first hell theyre not even the second best car yet they're still trying to win after 4 peating with Seb from 2010-2013. Thats what gravitated me towards Red Bull Racing. And now 8 years later it brings me joy to see them dominating. And i guarantee thats how Lewis fans and Mercedes fans felt after they signed Lewis for 2013 onward and going onto absolutely dominate the sport. Even with Michael Schumacher fans who were fans of him in sports cars and then the Benneton/Ferrari fans after he takes the sport by storm. Its a sense of pride knowing you're happy for something that has absolutely nothing to do with your life. Even if you are a bandwagoner fan rooting for whoever is on top, its still brings them joy and thats all this sport is about. Entertainment to bring fans joy.
