  • In this video on our Sedona Sweet Spot Series we're going to look into a concept we work on with our riders and it has to do a lot with how to carry momentum.
"Work where the trail is easy - relax where the trail is hard"
By looking ahead and picking out earlier where exactly we want to pedal and where we want to coast, we can avoid some pedal strikes and carry our momentum better in short uphill sections.
In this video we're using a few skills:
Basic body position, stand up pedaling, looking ahead and line choice. All those skills and much more are available with detailed step by step lessons on our site ridebox.bike
Let us know in the comments below if you have any questions :)

I like the advice - keep the vision ahead to try and pick up a good line with the right amount of speed!

      Exactly!
As soon as you see early enough you can prepare for that
Do you have an example to show?

I do have a technical climb that I know I can do…but I am 0 for 10. It’s a steep off camber rock face climb. Any feedback would be awesome. Once the snow melts I will record it.
