- In this video, we visit St. Augustine, Florida for my birthday trip! I unbox the LomoApparat, load the film (I used Kodak Gold 200) and take it around St. Augustine to try it out. We visit the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park, St. Augustine Beach, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and St. Augustine Lighthouse! And of course, I share all of my favorite photos from my very first roll of film with the camera!

I like the photo of you on the beach holding the flowers with your back to the camera.
That’s one of my favorites too! I actually had it in a gallery show recently. ☺️ Thank you so much for your kind words!
I'm glad I am not the only who had trouble first loading in this camera! I've shot two rolls now (kodak 400 and cinestill 400) and I have learned I love it more for indoor + flash use!
Haha yeah I’m still getting used to the film loading. But I definitely want to try it out more indoors and with flash soon too! It’s really such a fun camera. ✨☺️✨ Thanks for watching!
Love the contrast of the photos! The splitzer lens is pretty cool!
Thank youuuu! The splitzer is so fun. I want to use it more on my next roll of film! ❤️☺️❤️
Love your style/ Its like a hybrid eighties style slash hipster.
Haha love that description, thank you so much! This camera definitely gives off that vibe too. And with the palm trees and bright colors of St. Augustine, the photos feel very 80s for sure! :)
All my best wishes for you to your birthday and congrats for winning the Lomo camera. It's very interesting what kind of effects the lenses are making possible. St. Augustine is a lovely place to stay for a few days. Well chosen.
Thank you so much! I hope to do a full review of the camera soon, because there are still a few features I haven’t had a chance to try out yet. But so far, I love the camera and all of the creativity it inspires. Thank you for watching! ✨
Thanks for this video, it really helped me choose!
I have one question left, is this camera full or half frame?
Hi there! I’m glad I was able to help! It’s full 35 mm frame. :)
On the double exposure which exposure is darker the second of first?
Hi there! It really depends on the lighting situation. If I take a photo of a bright sky first, the second exposure doesn’t turn out very dark. But if I take a darker photo first, like a portrait in the shade, then usually I can shoot a cloudy sky or something after and get some interesting layering. But this is actually inspiring me to do a different video and really test out some multiple exposure layering. Thanks for watching and commenting! ✨☺️✨
That seems like a fun little camera with loads of creative potential!
It really is! I honestly can’t wait to shoot another roll with it. Thanks for watching! ✨
If I want to get a horizontal mirrored effect of building up and down with double exposure and the splitzer do I have to rotate the camera upside down or just the plitzer?
Hi there! If you just want a mirrored effect, you don’t need to flip the camera, just use the splitzer on the left side for the first image, and the right side for the second. If you want one side of the photo flipped upside down, you will need to the flip the camera, if that makes sense! Hope that helps - thanks for watching! ✨
Thank you! Yeah I want ex mountains on the top then the same mountains on the bottom but mirrored
@@davidochoa2888 ohhh I see. Yes, you would need to flip the camera for the second image!
Thank you! For the clarification and keep up the hard work
How long until you noticed that your film was not really advancing?
Hi there! Thanks for watching! I just noticed that there wasn’t any tension when I was turning the dial and also the shutter wasn’t engaging without the film being caught. Basically, the dial will just keep going and not stop if the film isn’t caught. I’m not sure if that makes sense, but I’ll have to make a video soon that goes more into detail about that! ✨
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉
I want this camera sooo bad. Sad it's expensive in my country
It’s such a fun camera! Hopefully you’ll get a chance to pick one up at some point. Thank you for watching! ✨
Nice 🎉
Thank you! ✨
