I'd always felt that Failsafe was a subtle nod to D.A.V.E given the purpose was to rid Gotham of crime and, more specifically, take Batman out of the equation. Throw in the Zur personality being uploaded into the robot, and you get a killer robot that adapts and has an ego. The only difference is that both components were made by Batman and not by Hugo. That said I wouldn't mind seeing D.A.V.E actually debut as he is and facing off against either Bats or Failsafe, and say maybe D.A.V.E through some means is too large of a threat to the interests of both Zur and Batman, forcing them to team up to take it down. Then it would leave Zur conflicted over his mindset, and you can have your morally grey character that operates lethally but still in the defense of the innocent. In a way, giving us back a Red Hood that can and will kill to see his goals through, without tarnishing the road Jason has been on to get to this point after the Cheer arc and such.
This whole batman video felt like a great repolished version of the episode in my eyes. Truly so (hope your throat isn't too bad). Great work on this Blazer!
