thanks for the video of my second uncle Howard. Brother of my authentic heiress grandmother. Greetings from Comodoro Rivadavia. Chubut, Argentina. Mirtha Liliana Walker Hughes Roberts Smiths.
I once knew a pilot, who brought a Piper cub like the one shown here . In the US and flew it to Britain on his own , he must have been mad ! The Spruce Goose gives the impression of being underpowered and fragile , was it ? Does anyone have any information about it ?
Shep's Mechanic I agree. When I first saw the aircraft in Long Beach, CA, a ramp was made to allow viewing into the cockpit. I also believe history should be preserved and not modified. Thanks for viewing and commenting. Dave.
+Kevin Smith Kevin, you are right. It was partly disassembled when they moved it from Longbeach, Ca to McMinnville, Oregon. The building at Evergreen Air was built specifically to handle this marvelous, historic aircraft. Thanks for asking! Dave.
What a project it was! It's tremendous that it's been preserved. Hughes had a lot going on!
Fantastic engineering feat. Thanks for posting.

Geez, have a little respect for Mr. Hughes and those that constructed such an amazing machine for it's time. It is the Hercules, NOT spruce goose.
Also known as the Spruce Goose.....

8 of these ruclips.net/video/DDCxgCyy16w/видео.html not underpowered, but fragile, maybe.
I would start it up without without warning anyone and put on full throttles just to scare the fuck out of everyone.
Totally
ITS CALLED THE HERCULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND IT WILL FLY GOTDAMNIT!!
Hercules H4 not spruce goose sorry
I think the point he is alluding to is the fact that the term "Spruce Goose" was originally an insult levied at the H4, and Hughes hated the phrase.
ITS CALLED THE HERCULES!!!
It's a shame they cut all those windows into the sides of the fuselage, ahead of the wings, just for the sake of tourism.
