@@iamwannabefilmmaker I’ve definitely heard good things about nisi! And, bad things about k&f, but this “nano-X” seems to be fantastic from what I see.
@@RossBarnett02 thank you! I see on the website that there is a 6-9 stop, but I don’t know if it works like the nisi swift style and add the 6-9 to the 1-5
@@longwinded3871 For this particular version, they make a 3-7 stop alongside the 1-5 stop. But I don't think there is a 6-9 stop. They're separate filters, so not stackable.
I don't think so, at least not to the outside. You could (in theory) put the mist/diffusion first then the VND to the outside of that. But the VND doesn't have stackable threads on the outside.
@@photosbyjames_ I’ve heard good things about the nisi, but - same issues with not being magnetic. The magnetic is just so convenient. I’ve definitely used 12,800 iso indoors with the ND on before. Especially on the fly.
@@RossBarnett02 I have the NISI True Color and it's absolutely the best quality ND I've ever owned. WAY better than the over hyper Peter Mc Kinon.. It's not magnetic but it as a nice stackable system to add the 6-9 stop without screwing anything.. it just clips. As for the 1-5, it literally lives on my lens, even indoors (using 12800 ISO on the FX3)
Ummm What difference does the color of the case have to do with anything? Do you open your camera gear bag as a display to show off how color coordinated the contents are??? What?!? The color of the foam in the case contradicts the color scheme of your other gear as a ding against a product is the MOST ridiculous thing I’ve heard from a RUclips review video.
@@r.derrickthomas2909 lol, having color coordinated gear in a well organized bag is definitely important to me! Not a dealbreaker, but it does help give that premium feel.
K&F for the win ive bought a lot of their stuff!
thank you brother for reviewing this type of products for broke filmmakers like me haha
@@drake8915 broke filmmakers unite! 😂
I think most of us filmmakers are broke😊
thanks for the rec!!
@@KeshenMac thank you for the comment!!
I wish they made a 5-9 stop magnetic version.
best they offer is a 3-7 stop instead of the 1-5 stop!
@@RossBarnett02 which is why it's a bit frustrating when they don't make the third one.
@@frankfeng2701 stack it with a ND32 filter, that is what I do, saves buying two variable ND filters, and no noticeable difference in quality.
Great Ross style video.

I had in the past one was not a big Fan of them maybe this nano is ok. I am Team Nisi! 😁

great video! do they offer a 6-9 stop ?

thanx for the video!.....can you stack a mist/diffusion filter on this vnd?

I really hoped they had threads for a mist filter
I use the nisi filter, but same issues as its not magnetic, but at 12,800, i need the nd filter on indoors
