Hello friends, Pastor Fred here in Rockwood TN. GP, the words you put on the screen about the contractor cutting a 10' wide driveway.... next week, I meet with the property owner between the nearest road and my property, 800' away, to gain access for a driveway that will be over 3000' long. We dint get much snow, but I look forward to maintaining that driveway, including the 300' elevation chabge on it.... Thanks for the encouragement!!
Man it's working good GP and the best thing you are nice and warm and dry. Something about taking care of snow is just relaxing. Especially when you got the right tool for the job and we do. Cheers!!
Very relaxing, no issues eating that snow! Many Thanks to Kirsten for the key chain and personal hand written note! It made my Friday, I like the back with the guy cutting the tree, excellent add-on! Cheers have a great weekend! Dave
I just came in from my LX 2610 cab with front mount blower rear scraper blade with hydraulic angle. I enjoyed a coffee while watching you clear some snow. Thanks for sharing your kubota time.
Absolutely beautiful area you’ve got when there’s snow on the ground... I can see the enjoyment, you and Carol must have smiles as wide as ever.. Cheers!
I do like the high speed of the auger and impellor of tat front mount blower Gord. That Snow blower is working like a dream even in that heavy damp snow, this is what I'd call 'proof positive' that it's a good snow blower.
I love watching these videos but the best way my BX23s deals with snow is to stay in the barn and let my neighbor plow our shared driveway with his Ford 350 and the winged plow.:)
Drove by my local kubota dealer near Ayr, ON today while out on site visits for work and thought of your videos. May have gotten a little tractor envy! hahaha
Brings me back to fond memories... the blower is tough as nails.. I never broke 1 shear bolt.. in these Manitoba winters#!!! Thanks .. thank your daughter for the key chain idea..I really appreciate the personal note on the card and the product!!
Nice hard working but relaxing day...well the relaxing part is ours while watching you working hard !! I like the notations on the screen. Good video my friend showing once again the great combination of the right tractor with the right implement.....Btw, I heard the motor pulling down a few seconds before you dropped into low range....and about that time there you went !! Dropping to a slower gear. Have a great weekend GP !!
@@RossOnTheLand Soon`s I`m finished playing in it. This is the first `real` fall of our winter here in NL! I`ll send you some in April, or maybe may,...it`ll be easier to ship then! LOL.
Maybe when talking about particular construction practices you might want to include the location where you're at, because here in California as of July of 2021 there is a new building code, for all new construction, that if you have a driveway that is longer than a quarter-mile that driveway must be wide enough to accommodate two emergency vehicles that can pass side by side, there is a minimum width of 20ft, reasoning for this is due to fire safety and evacuation purposes
What a nice, calming video. I've always loved the look of the woods during a snowfall...the muted light, the quiet. Unless the quiet is interrupted by a big 'ol diesel engine...'cause that's just sweet, sweet music! Good one Gord. Have a great weekend!
Those snow blowers are extravagant for these type of conditions GP. In fact probably about the only implement to handle this much snow. I know you could use the F.E.L and bucket, but that'd take a lot of effort. Good job my friend.
That Kubota sure is skookum. :-) Looks like we will get enough overnight for me to play with mine early tomorrow morning too. Not as much as you're getting though!
That’s a lot of snow to blow. How full was the fuel tank when you got done? You were working the diesel pretty good. Thank you for the video, it was fun to watch.
Just wish we got snow like that here in North Carolina. In 2000 we had one storm that dumped 22" of snow in central North Carolina, that was the 100 year storm. The best snowfall we got since then may have been around 9" at best. Recently, we have only had a dusting to about 2" of snow. Had more sleet and ice than anything else.
You got what we get down south when it snows, 1” shuts is down for days, 16-18” would mean a month or more. Hope you bought bread & milk, for some weird reason, that’s what flys off the shelves in the south, I never took a liking to milk sandwiches 🤣🤣
I’m just curious as to why you put your yellow beacon light on the inside of the lane of traffic instead of the left side of the tractor so traffic would be easier seen
Hi Gord, looks like your enjoying your heated cab, probably can sit there all day 😀. While you were cleaning your last wide spot on your road, I couldn't help noticing that big enough tree that seems to be ready to fall down. Might be a good idea to remove it before it lands on you inside the tractor, or someone from your family showing up to the cottage.
I noticed what looked like a central vac in your shop in one of your previous videos. Dust collection for shop? I am setting up a reclaimed central vac in my basement workshop for that purpose.
Good morning Gord, really enjoyed this video. Showed me what I'm missing while living in Colorado. We are getting some rain down here in Deep East Texas right now and it is welcomed and the warmer temps right now are just right but it's going to be summer here before long. Stay safe up there and keep up the great videos. Fred
How's she goin'? Sometimes the heavy wet snow plows away pretty good. Sometimes not so much!! Your blower handled it pretty good though eh!! Thanks for posting and I appreciate all the camera angles and views you provide!!! That takes a lot of effort!!! Take care!!!
Hi GP, Looks like you're stealing all the snow! The Northwoods of Wisconsin is definitely lacking in snow this winter! LOL Great video as always! A bit more horsepower would make clearing snow quicker, but I'm guessing you're having so much fun that the extra time is irrelevant! Nothing like a warm cab, with a cup of your favorite coffee!
Looks like the snow is passing through the blower box without much sticking to the box or auger. Did you apply a non-stick material to the blower after your recent video with all the snow stuck to the auger? Another nice snow video and great choice of music. On another topic, how's the glove test progressing? Steve from Minnesota
See you got hit by a similar storm as we did in Alaska…but fortunate we only had 12”. Like you I to have about a mile long driveway to clear. Got my blower back from repairs just in time!
How long did it take you to clear that out? And, did your Toyota negotiate that much snow on the way in, or were you already at the cabin? BTW, you may get to do that again in a day or two.
Hey Gord, do you have to walk in to the cabin to get the tractor or have you always been lucky to drive in? Do you still have your Kubota parking spot or have you lost it already. Take care and stay safe and be warm.
Ordered pretty much the same setup as yourself from Larkin, was supposed to arrive tomorrow, now pushed to April :( , even then not confident that it will actually arrive in April
Morning CR. I had the old 51" and this one is a 64". It's a trade off. I have to drive slower with the bigger blower when we have deep snow however, It is more than half the width of the driveway so I can fully clear the driveway in 2 passes whereas I usually had to do a third pass with the 51". But both work really well and throw the snow a long way. Hope that helps!
Another great and relaxing video GP! I was wondering how many branches you end up hitting after they get buried in the snow during a storm! I'm sure you keep a supply of shear bolts in the tractor, just in case. Cheers from MA!
Hey Dan you're right - some of the snow is not, but watch the output from the chute. The chute never lies. You'll see in some parts, it comes out like dry or powdery, and other times it throws into small chunks. That, combined with how quick the engine RPM draws down, tells me it is wet or not. Cheers and thanks for watching!
I love the music soundtrack you chose for this video. 🎶🎶🎶😎 Great choice. Have a great week.
Thanks Tom. You too!
Lots of snow thumbs up to the Kubota good job and you to Gord lol very nice working machine thanks for sharing take care
That blower really does the job, well worth every penny.
I’m a little jealous of all that snow, send some south please.
Cool music GP🇦🇺

Two stage blowers are so fun to watch. I love machines that save my back.
Some people would look at this and drink their morning coffee in their veranda under the rising warm Arizona sun. Such is life
That was satisfying to watch, Gordon. Thanks for posting!
Just so therapeutic to watch 👍👍
Good choice going with the commercial LX2980 blower - it was worth it for this heavy wet snow!

It's amazing, it just keeps coming down!
That is exactly the kind of snowfall where a snowblower is the only good option. A snowplow would just be carving a nice tunnel here!!! Thanks!
Perfect setup!!

The Kubota handled the snow with ease. More snow on the way for today for the GTA.

Wow Gordy, fantastic. I’m sure glad you are comfortable in that cab! Bet you don’t miss the old b2601 when your doing this chore! Cheers
Really happy to be out the cold Tom!
Bet Gord misses the old tractor when the day comes to make the monthly payment.

Have a great weekend GP!👍🏝🌴☕️🍻
You too MC!
Great job, Gord. I agree that the single pass a contractor would clear is never enough for a long driveway.
Hey GP, ever think of upgrading the headlights to LEDs to match the work lights on top of the cab? Think it would be brighter and look awesome!
That's a great idea - thanks Ryan!
@@GPOutdoors the amber lights are easier on the eyes, in my opinion, especially late at night. There is such thing as TOO bright.
Hey Gord. Looking like that storm is heading our way. Thanks for showing us.
Hey Ross, we got our storm Sunday night late and all day Monday, some 30+ cm. Just FYI :)
@@regsparkes6507 oh excellent! I want some.
We currently have rain right now and +7 celsius, but storm warning of 35 cms ( 16") coming tomorrow. I am ready!!

Finally got a bunch of snow yourself now
