Analyze Traffic Faster with Custom Columns!

- Columns are great in speeding up analysis. But sometimes we add a column that works for some protocols and not others. In this video we will look at how to add a custom column that we can use to quickly see both the UDP and TCP ports in Wireshark. Let's dig!

Once again, great content. Very useful information.
Thank you Sir! Very informative video
Thanks Chris!!
Nice, thanks!
That was really helpful, thanks
Alternatively, instead of using the custom column type, one can set it to be the 'Source port' or the 'Destination port'.
This was a nice details, thanks Chris.
Thank you, Chris.
Great Videos on TShark Chris. I finally realized I could install TShark natively on my Macs and HP and my Dell and see real traffic without being on my Kali Linux or Parrot oS using my wifi usb adapters where i was seeing utter shit. Now I can see my ip traffic and much more. I just thought the main tool for Shark was my Alfa wifi adapters. Now I can rewatch all your david bombal videos and really learn all this shit. You guys are awesome for taking the time to teach us new people. Say hi to Enicinitas for me if youre ever there. Lived in Diego for 23 years
Nice one mate🤝
So simple yet not so obvious at first, thanks.

Hi Chris, can you make a video on the SCTP protocol?
Hey Chris.. do you have any video where you explain all the pre-set filters that you have on wireshark? I saw in some of your videos, folders like nmap, server... and can be interesenting to know which one do you use to analize.
Chris, This might be a bit off topic but wanted to ask you if there was a way to change the highlighting color of individual packet I have selected. Right now it is a blue color but say I wanted the individual packet that I have selected to be something like Orange so I can quickly see which packet I have selected since there is so much blue already. Thanks alot.
@cris greer what is Conversation completeness: Incomplete, DATA (15) & Conversation completeness: Incomplete (12)? what does it mean? how can we avoid them?
Watched your videos and must say these are very helpful to me. But just came across issue related one user is complaining about connectivity issue ,he is able to telnet to the destination server port and also traceroute works fine but unable to connect to the destination. Then he tried using tracetcp with the destination ip:port and it failing on first hop itself. I asked for pcap to troubleshoot further and sure enough i see icmp response for TTL expired followed by first syn packet because of TTL value 1.
Hi Chris just needed one help in one of your video you were showing some issue due to ARP . I was looking for that video I couldn’t get it. It’s possible for you to share the link
its just using arp filter and seeing more than one cisco router acting like a proxy
