4:00 - "Winterwald" Easily my favorite track in the entire OST. On the other pieces, depending on what their use in game is, you ALWAYS have this slight feeling of sadness in it which makes sense considering what the game wants to portray. The first few seconds of "Winterwald" however sound almost soul-crushing. That slow piano transitioning into the violin, words can hardly describe the emotions felt during that part. While other tracks more or less give moral to one side and a feeling of dread to the other, again, "Winterwald" is special in the sense that it captures the hopelessness of both sides. Even though it gets rather triumphant near the end, I wouldn't describe it as such. I think the word "acceptance" would be much more fitting. One can only imagine what it would take to accept the horrors seen at the front in WW2. War breaks people and i think espeacially the beginning of "Winterwald" captures this perfectly. Never will I forget those first few notes and the powerfull feeling it bring with it. War is terrible and there is no honor to be found, which initself in a concept to give you confidence to push on even though you are scared of dying, so i think it's safe to say that this piece in particular conveys this "falsehood to cope with sorrow" pretty well. tl;dr: This is a fantastic song
i don't remember if winterwald has it but some maps have a lot of dead soldiers with their faces covered on makeshift stretchers as map props, and as you get pushed back further you starting encountering them more in your new spawn locations. that's a great environmental storytelling. also the music in the game is tied to a morale system that's not much in depth but when your team starts doing badly the music changes to a more dreadful one, which might be what you were saying

the feels in this game are amazing. you see the side of the war that you dont see in cod or elsekind of stupid games judging all the nations exept america. this game shows the war on all of its brutality from all the forbidden nations of the war. soundtracks make it even more epic and dramatic. this is the most realistic, beautiful, brutal and epic wargame that has not that much attention. respect to the developers and we all hope that there will be red orchestra 3 someday with more dlc:s from other nations (finland, france, britain, china, etc) peace!
I just hope that in rising storm 2:Vietnam they don't have a bias for the American faction. and replace the annoying GI Joe sounding actor for the U.S. With a voice actor that actually sounds like a young man drafted into the war

Brilliant game with brilliant OST The native voices added so much immerson to the game. I'm from Germany and can confirm that they really added native voice actors that also appear in random show on TV which is always kinda funny. Quite sure RO3 won't ever come into being...but a man can dream
I need some piano sheet to the first one! Damn I want to play it so badly... Or at least the 4:00 theme, anyone? I know the first one is Beethoven's Egmont Overture Op.84, but I still feel it's played a bit differently, even the beginning. The RO2 version is just better IMO

The music is awesome... but... Any idea where i can find the soundtrack of the "Remembering"-Trailer? The one is included in the OST, but the one that is played during the War-Scenes of the Trailer remains uncovered. I searched some, but couldn't find it... I also heard it in game sometimes (while we were loosing).
04:00 every time I hear this one, i imagine myself hiding in a trench, trying to hold my almost emptied k98 with my shaking hands. I feel my tears becoming ice on my face as other trenches close to me are getting hit by artillery. All I want is to go home, get back to my family. Far away I see other soldiers trying to retreat but couldn't even make it out of the trench. Even though i saw them crying in pain, all I could hear was a blurred noise... and the enemy charging in the distance
How did you make those files playable? I extracted some of the files using UPK extractor and couldn't play any of the music/ voice files found in there.
Most bots are better than players anyways. Everyone between 10-50 honour just team-kills everyone while 51-99 doesn't even care about the objective. All they know is getting a machine gun or an assault weapon and camp until they get 100+ kills.
