The Goldwater Rule was put into place long before we had our current analytic methods available to us. And as I've learned in the past 2yrs, the Goldwater Rule was name after Barry Goldwater, who was a racist! Ultimately, she is talking about human behavior and how we,as humans, are capable of behaving in inhuman ways, especially those in power. So no matter who we are, wether we are white or black, German or Jew, Mexican or American, rich or poor, male or female, gay or straight, a politician or a beggar, HOW we behave reveals the truth of who we are. And to dismiss entirely what Dr Lee is saying would be a categorical mistake. This is the problem we face today. Few are willing to see the truth of things because they have no regard FOR the truth. This is not to say that Bandy speaks absolute truth, rather, she is much closer to it and that bothers those she is calling out. But it’s their behavior that she takes issue -not who they are. And you don’t need to be a psychologist to see that Trump has very serious behavioral problems (unless you are in denial) and how those who follow him blindly have been contaminated by it.
