Okay so to clear up a lot of reports of anyone "overdosing" If someone doesn't get a blood toxicity screening to ensure even their prescription medicine toxicity levels aren't too high in their blood, it can do organ damage and cause organs (specifically the heart) to shut down. They will label it as a drug overdose every time. So please, from someone who has suffered from this very thing, if you're on any medication for longer than six months, get a blood toxicity screening done for your own health. We need you alive and healthy. I believe Prince was on medication for being sick and he may have overdosed on his medication because of poor medical care and not intentional overdose on illegal substances.

I just turned 30 and I'm so glad I dove deep into the Prince catalog a couple years before he died. I became such a huge fan and I'll never forget leaving my physical therapy, getting in my car and turning on the radio to hear the bad news. I think I sat in the parking lot for about 15 minutes just sad as shit. Prince will forever be my favorite artist of all time 💜
