Good all around video. I'm no expert, but you should tell people about the Vram getting maxed very fast and so most of us cannot use the GPU rendering anyways. Also, correct me if I'm wrong but hiding decor objects in the scene tab does not cut render time as it is still loaded. You'd need to save and reload the scene for it to be effective. This is also a trick to reduce the load on the GPU if you want to fit your scene in your Vram. And last thing about the post denoiser, I find it important to start it toward 2/3 of the render. If you make it start right at the beginning, it'll get blurry and lot less details.

What about when your problem is that it crashes because not enough processor speed or other hardware limitations? Will faster render help or make it worse?

Hi Alice, thanks for your comment. This is quite hard to answer since it depends a lot on the hardware. Those tips at least will help to speed up e.g. we also cover Filament Renderer which is much faster but of course has a lot less quality compared to iray. Sorry that I don't have a better answer for you.

@@RenderGuide Thank you RG, I get the impression it is in the beginning of the render that my processor, graphic card or RAM (I don't know what is the limiting factor, but if the render don't crash the programme in the first couple of minutes it can complete it), I would like to slow the initial render process or something like that.

Hi this is a great video tutorial thank you so much! I been working on Daz Studio for Years. And I'm still using 1060 6g GPU for daz. I was wondering if my gpu is still good even for animation or do I need to upgrade it soon?

Hi there, thanks for your comment and happy you like it. I think graphic card depends a lot on what you want to do, length of video, resolution, number of objects so it is quite hard to judge so sorry I don't have a good answer right away. There are some older discussion (2020) about it also on the daz forum that might give some inspiration e.g. see here www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/421836/best-video-card-upgrade

The first 5 mins or so are useless here, come one update this video, so out of date. Render in interactive or filament, come on!
