I had that same guitar about 10 years ago when I was a touring musician. I loved using 13 gauge strings for my top 3 strings and I would use 11 gauge for my bottom 3 strings. It gave a beefy tone when playing heavy chugging riffs but made it easier to play melodies on the higher strings. I can remember playing My Curse by Killswitch with that setup.

Yeah man, that’s pretty much what I’ve got. Even though it’s a smaller scale neck the tuning stability is amazing on it. I’ll never get rid of it. I’ve done My Curse on this guitar as well. What band were you touring with dude?
