  • The Benedetti Foundation delivered its very first workshops, the Benedetti Sessions in Glasgow, London and Dundee between January and March 2020. Across the three weekends, we worked with just shy of 3,000 young people and 350 teachers. Participants attended from across the UK and the Republic of Ireland stretching from Shetland to the Isle of Wight. In Scotland young musicians travelled from 31 of the 32 local authorities and 30 of the 32 London boroughs were represented. Immediately after our Dundee Sessions in March, the world went into lockdown and the Foundation went online!
The Virtual Benedetti Sessions which took place in lockdown and provided musicians of all ages and stages, from all over the world, with three weeks of consistent online tutorials and inspirational workshops. Over 7,000 participants ages 2 - 92 from 66 countries prepared collectively for a final weekend of activity celebrating the coming together of the global music community.
Since then, we have been delivering sessions online to thousands of young people, students, teachers and adult learners.

As a classical ballet teacher one always looks for inspiration outside of our art form to what influences makes us complete as dancers. Line, technique, intelligence, artistry, all the art forms but mostly the music.

Thank you to Nicola and the team for organising such amazing sessions. My girls absolutely loved it and my youngest who is very shy was really enjoying telling everyone about her amazing experience. Also, lovely to see the beautifully captured moments of the kids. I'm looking forward to showing the video to my girls too 👍💜
