@robh7101 Thank you!! Apologies for my delayed response. I'm glad you find this useful! If price is not a problem, and you want the best quality, F6 is the one. But if you want a bit more versatility, 70D is pretty handy, I'd say.
@@PoomishStudio In no particular order: Zoom H1n, H6, F2BT, F3, F8nPro, Tascam DR10X, Portacapture X8. I am pretty much covered as you can see, but I am still thinking of a recorder that is intended to go underside the camera. I love the form factor of the DR70d and the F6 seems to be fine as well. The F8nPro can be used that way, but it is a bit too bulky in reality.
@@ww1www I see. Personally, I'd recommend Zoom F6. You can't go wrong with it. I've sold H8, DR-70D. Right now, I'm only using Zoom F6, Tascam DR100 MKIII, Zoom F2BT, Tascam DR10L, and the DJI Mic. They altogether cover the whole range of my general use.
@@PoomishStudioYes, I am considering to replace the F3 with the FR-AV2. I was long looking at the F6, but a few things kept me away, such as the lack of an Android app, no combo XLR and no 3.5mm input. My current favourites from my present collection are the X8 (very very versatile), F2 (tiny and simple) and the F8nPro. But I use the Rode Wireless Pro the most... :)
good comparison thank you. can you please tell me if can add left and right channels of a hollyland lark wireless mic into one XLR, i know i can use a splitter and send the left and right channels to two XLR tracks. hope my question is clear
@BijuViswanathfilmmaker Hi, which recorder are you referring to? if you want to run a 3.5mm to an XLR port, you'd need an adapter, like a Rode VXLR+. You can simply plug the 3.5mm straight into the 3.5mm stereo input of the Zoom H8, and Tascam DR70D. Zoom F6 doesn't have a 3.5mm line-in, unfortunately.
Great review, exactly what I was looking for ..... now to decide between the 70D and the F6 :D

Thanks for the video. Very well presented. I have a number of recorders, but none of these, so it would be nice to try these too. :)
@@ww1www Thank you! yeah, I'd recommend trying some of these. They are pretty good and handy.
What are the ones you've got now, if I may ask?
