Kool & the Gang - Fresh (Bonn)

(Kunst!rasen Bonn-Gronau, 2024-07-04) "She's fresh, she's so fresh", a classic from 1984 by this band that was originally founded by two 13 and 14 year old brothers at Lincoln High School in New Jersey with some friends, starting with Jazz, then switching to Soul, and naming themselves "Kool & the Gang" in 1969. "Kool" was the nickname of bassist Robert Bell (*1950) the only one from the original crew who is still alive and on stage, the other 4 died between 2006 and 2023. The band had 25 singles in the top 10, among them "Ladies' Night" (1979), "Celebration" (1980), "Get Down on It" (1981), and the last big hit being "Cherish" (our love) in 1985. They are currently touring together with Nile Rodgers & Chic.
