Great muscians, great analog plus digital equipment and great mix guys behind the SSL desk.
The bass used was definitely a Yamaha DX-7 synthesizer, and layered with a bass guitar in some spots. Pretty much the same sound as A-ha's "Take On Me" as well.

To me the sixties, and then the seventies greatly as far as Soul music funk music was the epitome. In the 80s we had good music but it was starting to get cheesy and turn into electronica too much Electronics abuse. The 90s so so it was some good stuff but I miss real musicianship.
