We hear of the anointing of Elisha who will succeed Elijah as Yahweh’s prophet. This was a hands on prophet who I would like to think had a successful farming business. Yet his yes to the Lord is total and seen in his actions described in the text of today

Dear Fr Warner your account of how Elisha was chosen by Elijah to follow him, highlights - that when God chooses it can be anyone....Elisha was just a hands on farm man as he was ploughing. To answer God's calling there are no stereotypes, for today many who join the seminary are highly educated & good looking!

Elijah was assigned three Missions and one of these was the anointing of Elisha as his Successor.
The concept that God calls only a certain category of people is totally wrong as there are so many tall, handsome Priests who have left their Comfort zone, to answer Jesus's Call.
Elisha answered God's Call, renounced his personal duties and become Elijah's Successor.
May the Holy Spirit continue to inspire and guide you Fr.Warner God bless you and protect you always 🙏
May the Precious Blood flowing from the Sacred Wounds of Jesus cover you 🙏

And I asked you what are you doing here? That's when you told me you are a professional chef with the Oberoi. So God also calls Chefs like you.
