and welcome to another By Request song tutorial, brought to you by Revo Guitar Straps. In this lesson, I'll revamp a previous tutorial on Ben E. King's 1962 classic "Stand By Me." This time around, I'll be showing you a more advanced version that features percussive strumming, and embellishments taken from Lloyd Trotman's iconic bassline. For the more advanced viewers, I'll also demonstrate how you can solo over this tune with some Jimi Hendrix inspired licks. It's not about him or his guitar ability, it's about him delivering a lesson that sucks ! Yes, he's good, and we are trying to be good also ? He crams way to much in this lesson !

it sounds nothing like the original. some parts of the "bassline" are one octave up which kind of defeats the purpose of having a bass(sic!) line at all.
if you listen to the song, there is the bass, playing the bass line and on top a variety of different instruments. some being violins or even voice. no strumming guitar whatsoever. yet there is a guitar in the beginning that you actually can learn. its not to be found here tho
