Though the pilot episode is too short for me to give a critical review, it showed the potential of presenting a series that will hook the interest of the audience. The introduction of characters Thomas and Dan by name gives the audience a chance to instantly create a relationship and bond with them. However, the same was not done for the lady who ordered for the pizza. I guess she will be one of the lead characters, hence the audience knowing her name in the pilot is key. There were a few dialogue issues that should be looked at. The Call center at the pizza shop, introduced themselves as this is “Eddy’s pizza”. However, the lady ordering the pizza said, “is this Eddy’s pizza?”. There must be synergy in the dialogue of the characters. A more confident directing and composition will elevate the success of this series. With performance, the characters have given up their best. There is still more room for improvement. Also, stating the theme clearly in the pilot would have been ideal. Though there are promising plots ahead, a clearly stated theme will leave the audience wanting more. One thing I’ve noticed about our up and coming youth series Seems all ‘teens’ live alone or with their friends rather than their parents and we all can admit that this isn’t how our Ghanaian homes are… we have 25+ years living in their parents house but y’all are creating a different context How many youths out there are living on their own…I’d say 2/10 Also increase the time a bit Anita and Calyn too are doing very well…keep that up McAnthony for look sharp
