@@SekAustria You're Welcome Bro! Working with eggs ? Are you hatching them or fixing the incubator? Where are you from man? You're all kinds of Awesome! Take care buddy.
This is right up my Ally I do stuff like this all the time. Very cool and crafty I stumbled across this video while looking up square auger drilling bit reviews, it was worth it. it's cool to see other people are still being crafty and making what they have work being multi talented across the board and using those skills to free them from wasting money buying every little thing they think they need. When they can use their machining and a little welding skills to help make their woodworking tools work. Instead of just buying the other piece! Nice job mate!!
Such a precious idea. Thanks for sharing. I made a similar arrangement for my drill press and square bits after watching this. Keep sharing such wonderful ideas, thanks
Also, guys, do check the links - I've bought some of the tools linked in previous videos and not only do they perform well, they cost a lot less than it would locally. Sometimes shipping can be a little slower but small price to pay for having more tools for your dollar
Fantastic work, dude! Really awesome! 😃 I think you should make a lathe. Maybe a wood lathe first, but a metal lathe would definitely help you a lot! But I guess it should be difficult, though.
So how do these drill bits work? From just looking it seems as though a regular drill cuts a circular hole, while the square shaft acts as a chisel to square the material. Is there a hammer motion involved or is it just the downwards force of drilling the hole? Either way, cuts extra steps out of cutting a square hole in timber so that's always a plus
You're correct. The auger style of bit clears the chips from both the paring of the side blade thing and the drill itself. It cuts the operation for mortising a square hole from 2 steps (drill, then pare the mortise with a chisel) into 1 step (mortising bit). Also, there's usually no hammering in the drill/pare style of cutting a mortise either.
Ah, thank you Aubreykun. I'd never seen this type of bit before so had to guess based on the visuals in the clip. I guess I could have just googled, but it's an old habit to ask where the video is posted. It's a rather smart concept - pairing the two steps into one
good very good your videos I would like to know if you can make a homemade drill as close to the original as that is one of my projects and I can not find one that satisfies me thank you very much for sharing your knowledge in a disinterested way from Venezuela, may God bless you, I hope your quick response
if you want to know how to make your own foundry let me know so you can build a metal lathe and a milling mashie after building them you can make anything .and you can do it with scrap metals .

You've got to go to all that trouble to use one, though? Build your own attachment for the drill press?
Nice ye masin bame chahiye
Pretty cool I think nothing that’s built of wood should have screws nuts or bolts.
