In Switzerland it‘s either Teuscher and / or Läderach. But Teuscher is more unique for sure. Writing this just in case she‘d do it, 'cause I‘d love that 😂
twice in this video I predicted what Grace was gonna say. When she said 'that is a bit of me' and just before she said 'knocked it out of the park'. They look phenomenal!
For someone gluten free like me, this is what dreams (and a few hours later nightmares) are made of! So far, I found only one place where gluten free bakery would be better than a regular one (there's an amazing small spot in Hawaii). Usually, the gf stuff is underwhelming. So, so, so jealous!
Chocolatines are what people from Bordeaux (and probably the whole région) call pains au chocolat ! When I saw the name on the screen I was like damn it’s catching up in parts of England too, haha. 😂 but yeah it’s very much supposed to be the same :)
Wish I lived closer to Toad Bakery - I'm in Exeter, Devon... it would take me many hours to get there. Instead, this weekend I will try out some local indie bakeries in my city.
Pain au chocolat and chocolatine are the same thing! What you call it depends on where you're from. Some people call it a chocolatine, other people are wrong, but that's their choice and I respect it. ;)
Grace you need to come and visit Norwich, there are so many insane food options. We have two award winning bakeries in the city centre, Bread Source is one I think you would love. The chocolate almond croissant is a whole meal in itself. I would be so happy to give you all my recommendations.
i just wanted to point out the resemblence between the guy from toad and the one and only ryan from the office and what do i see in a next minute? his name is actually ryan...
I have just stumbled upon your videos and got hooked on it ever since.. Start binge-watching with so much joy cuz I m also a foodie. And I have one humble suggestion that the volume of the vlogs is kind of low, if this could be fixed, that would be fantastic.
A chocolatine is technically the same thing as a pain au chocolat, it's juste the name the south of France gives this pastry, while in Paris, the north calls it pain au chocolat. But it's supposed to be the same thing
in parts of France pain au chololat are called chocolatines and look the same. If you ask for pain au chocolat where they call them chocolatines, they will think you're from Paris and charge you more.
I know this doesn't have much to do with the content of the video. But Grack, I used to think it was "slither" too. As in a thin slither of cake. But its sliver! I thought people just weren't pronouncing the "th" properly but I was wrong. Love your videos by the way. 😊
Have you tried Pophams Bakery? I feel like they give off that "cool, intimidating vibe" in the food industry, but when they first opened, their stuff was so good. I also feel like Jolene has a bit of a "cool bakery" vibe too, which is totally fine - you do you, babe. Anyway, it's been a while since I've been to either of those places, so maybe they've changed since I moved. I'm 50 minutes away from Toad Bakery, so I'll have to give it a try! Thank you for sharing - I want to try it all, yum! 🤤🤤🤤🤤 I also have a great recommendation for a tiny, local spot near me for Vietnamese food in Hither Green, South London called Cafe Green (65 Ennersdale Rd, London SE13 6JE). If you're ever in that area. Side note: I've spent the last year renovating my first house, a Victorian Maisonette, with my partner. If your house has lath and plaster, oh my, it's a good thing you got someone in to help with the bathroom. Can't wait to see more of your content!
You have to visit Stockholm. We have really good bakeries, delicious pastries, and in my opinion the best cinnamon/cardamom buns.🥐 // Love from Sweden🇸🇪
LOL at me getting all of the wrong words?! What is wrong with me hahahah! My brain is not playing ball atm apologies oxoxoxo
grandma 😭
Pregnant 😊
@@ellexpress111 It crossed my mind too, lol.
i doubt it. She's so thin that I think it'd be obvious@@ellexpress111
Seeing as Taz just drove to Italy for pizza, you two should do a collab road trip...go find the best chocolate shop in Belgium or Switzerland!
I’d love this 🤍🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
@clickfortaz make this happen!!! a Taz and Grace road trip food haul! GUYS!
Absolutely!
In Switzerland it‘s either Teuscher and / or Läderach. But Teuscher is more unique for sure.
Writing this just in case she‘d do it, 'cause I‘d love that 😂
Yeahhh
twice in this video I predicted what Grace was gonna say. When she said 'that is a bit of me' and just before she said 'knocked it out of the park'. They look phenomenal!
Wow
Bloody love you Grace! This video is the pick me up I needed on this very drizzly day :)
Anyone who will travel 1.5 hours one way for a good croissant is my kind of person!
A bakery adventure with Grace (how lovely). You always have such good energy and are just fun. Love from Canada.
Brill video as always! Thanjs, Grace 🎉Keep doing what you're doing! 😊
Such a wholesome video, loved your food descriptions!
That black dress is so cute! The bakery looks amazing. I want one of everything! ❤

I wish there were more bakeries like that where I live!
Absolutely ADORE Toad Bakery!
ooh, might be in London in a few weeks, if so will def try and check them out, looks delish.
That bakery has a very unique selection! I wish San Diego had one😊
would love to see a video all about Chinatown if you haven't yet! Was one of my favorite parts of London, the Chinatown Bakery has so many fun treats!

Love these types of videos!!❤️
Speaking of vegan - would looove it if you did veganuary this year! Pepping myself up to do it aswell. Would also loveeee a housetour video!❤
+1 to both of these suggestions!!
I’m glad I subscribe to your channel. I love seeing your content ❤
Can you please do a wardrobe tour video with store name drops? I love all the clothes you wear 😭
I'm mot usually into these taste test reviews, but your descriptions made this fun! Hi from the Rhode Island, United States.
Pork belly and apple curry sounds sublime… 🤤 xx

I was just about to comment this but the other way around lol
I'm in North London, and apparently, it would/will take me an hour and a half to get there, but it looks so good I think I'm going to have to go.
I'm South East London and it will take me an hour and 15 mins 😅
Oh my god, just found this place and I live in Clapham! So excited to go when I can walk again! :)
ILY GRACE I’ve never been this early in the comments omg

Preach!! Also the fruit crumble croissants they do sometimes are insanely good. We also have an amazing market with so many delicious food options 👌🏼
@@alicesmith9778 omg I’ve not seen the fruit crumble ones!! Need to try asap.
You need to come to Copenhagen. I just moved here, and the bakeries here are the BEST!!!
i just wanted to point out the resemblence between the guy from toad and the one and only ryan from the office and what do i see in a next minute? his name is actually ryan...
Had to chuckle with you getting infantry and infancy mixed up 😂😂🙈
I have just stumbled upon your videos and got hooked on it ever since.. Start binge-watching with so much joy cuz I m also a foodie. And I have one humble suggestion that the volume of the vlogs is kind of low, if this could be fixed, that would be fantastic.
Eric's bakery in East Dulwich / Peckham (not far from here) is unreal, if you're ever back in the area.
A chocolatine is technically the same thing as a pain au chocolat, it's juste the name the south of France gives this pastry, while in Paris, the north calls it pain au chocolat. But it's supposed to be the same thing
i like yo trips gurl, wish i was closee to london
Big up Peckham!
I adore that you say Cookie instead of Biscuit sometimes🍪
Also, Hope Ryan sees this, help Grace with a VIP to the Special Stuff 🥐🥨🥖
You should try Pollen bakery in Manchester. They specialise in sourdough and Viennoiserie
So are you taking them to Papa Booth? Really want to see him try them🥰
I'm glad you went For Me! It's a ten hr flight & a $1K ticket to Toad Bakery- I can ONLY Imagine ; ) such delicious foods....
This reminds me of the early bird bakery in Birmingham!
in parts of France pain au chololat are called chocolatines and look the same. If you ask for pain au chocolat where they call them chocolatines, they will think you're from Paris and charge you more.
What area are they called chocolatines?

Love your videos by the way. 😊
That cinnamon bun is Kanelbulle which is Swedish Cinnamon Bun, best Cinnamon bun in the world imo. The addition of cardamom makes it so delicious!
Thank you much love xx
This is so random but I think I saw you and your husband on the train to Shrewsbury on Friday evening?? I was too tired and nervous to say hello 😅😅
Did they have vegan options?
A chocolatin is what a pain au chocolat is called in the south (of France), they’re pretty much the same thing
Hey Grace, I'm from Toulouse France and we call pain au chocolat chocolatine here :)
Have you tried Pophams Bakery? I feel like they give off that "cool, intimidating vibe" in the food industry, but when they first opened, their stuff was so good. I‘m so envious.I‘m diabetic. Still, I enjoyed your video.😂
Same though I am gluten free. Do I still watch things like this? Yes I do! 😂
No gluten or sugar for me, or I will be too.
Am I first? Never happened before x
❤❤❤❤
Video idea: rate supermarket bakeries. Asdas is doing quite well atm 😊
Shes already done that
Chocolate is the same as a Pain au it's just what we call it in the Basque Country 😺
I was fine until the pork belly curry pastry! That got my taste buds going 😋
Infantry vs infancy 😂 sorry that was my favorite
Oh god, they're bringing the "pain au chocolat" vs "chocolatine" debate out of France😨
Why didn't you eat in London while it's fresh?
We miss baba Booth and Banksy 😢
No don't tell them! It's so busy already!
12:37 might be the first time that sentence has ever been uttered lol
A bakery should never be intimidating. It's a BAKERY! (I said in my best Edina Monsoon voice.)
You just said back in the infantry instead of infancy lol
That third item looks like a giant wooden snail lol it doesn’t even look like pastry
:)
You have to visit Stockholm. We have really good bakeries, delicious pastries, and in my opinion the best cinnamon/cardamom buns.🥐
// Love from Sweden🇸🇪
Grace, the bakery was in its 'infancy', not 'infantry.'
grace i adore you (and this video) but it's so upsetting you ate all the sweet things BEFORe the savoury
You have freakishly long arms
Astoundingly beautiful face 🎉
It's because she is slim, they appear to look longer.
I think I have short arms. My elbows fall where the middle of my ribcage is. For sure Grace's hit lower down. But that might be normal? 😂
No need to point out Grace’s arms as ‘freakish’ 😡
I think a collab with you and @condimentclaire would be so much fun!
Chocolatine is another word used in some French regions to call a pain au chocolat. To be fair, it didn't look good and a bit dry.
You’re so clueless. AROMA Covent Garden is the best bakery, not TOAD. 🙄
