Yeah but the story of tuska the demon killa is a special one for the community 😊 he's a private eternal guest of Khorne for ripping the balls off one of his favored champions with a power claw 😅
@SordidusFellatio Well, here`s the thing: On any world, including Paradise worlds, the following things may happen at any moment: The sky may rip open and the literal legions of hell descend on your world to consume your soul. The ground may open up and the legions of undead robots my march out to destroy all life. (That`s one of the BETTER things that can end an Imperial world, because at least the Necrons will ONLY kill you.) The Astropathic Choir may all start screaming in agony as their minds are torn apart by the massive presence in the Warp of the Tyranid Hive Fleet that`s arrived in orbit and begins dropping creatures to consume your living flesh. Asteroids begin bombarding the planet and hordes of Orks exit from the asteroids after impact to kill or enslave the survivors. The weird guy in your hab block suddenly starts gibbering and then his body is torn apart as a gateway to the Warp opens inside him and, again, the legions of Hell begin marching through to consume your soul. Dark Eldar raiders appear out of a concealed gateway and kidnap people en masse to be tortured to death to feed energy into the Dark Eldar`s dying souls. Demonic Space Marines of any of multiple kinds drop onto your planet and, if you`re lucky, they JUST kill you. And that`s only some major ways ANY Imperial world can end. The popularization of at least one planet was wiped out because an overly righteous Cardinal ended up making a break for purity and things just sort of spiraled out of control and eventually the forces of Chaos took over and things rapidly went, literally, to Hell after that. (That was Vraks, but there were likely other times planets were consumed in this way.) Kreig went from Paradise World to Death World because a rebellion was SUCCESFULLY repressed by the local PDF forces, but the first stage was a massive nuclear exchange that wrecked the biosphere beyond the possibility of repair and left the entire surface lethally radioactive, and then it took CENTURIES to finish the war. (And then they got back in touch with the Imperium, who decided that they might be a reasonable source of troops. They were asked to supply something like 3 regiments, and the reply was they had something like 18 segments all fitted out and ready for immediate deployment.) One of the problems with 40k as a place you might think about living as a fan is there`s no place or time in the setting that`s SAFE. This is different than settings like Star Trek and Star Wars where there`s lots of mayhem and destruction, but there`s lots of places and times where you could live and enjoy the wonders of the setting without the risk of worse than horrible death happening to you.
Khorne's domain includes martial honor. Its part of the reason why most of his followers are focused on melee. Duels are respected and a semblance of order is maintained.
Exactly. Heirarchy is the entire point, and I'm pretty sure 'Dominion over others' is what empowers him also, i.e. the need for power and to rule over others. Just killing/blood is a massive, massive part. But its not his *whole* personality.
Thing he didn't mention here: What finally got Tuska the attention of Khorne was as he laid dying, he decided to give the Daemon Prince who killed him a Powerclaw straight in his Daemon nether region.
While Khorne may not care where the blood flows, he does have his preferences. For example he favors blood flowed from battle and war over blood flowed from the defenseless if simply because there's no sport in killing someone who can't or doesn't fight back. Khorne also hates cowardice and deceit even if they are done to ensure the blood flows because these are weapons of the weak and that will truly get on Big Red's nerves VERY quickly. This was shown when Khorne's most favored champion Skarbrand was tricked by Tzeentch into challenging Khorne in order to take his place. From Khorne's blind spot while he was defenseless Skarbrand attacked his master with all his demonic strength yet barely bent a dent in the Chaos God's armor. Khorne turned to Skarbrand in an absolute rage ready to punish his once faithful servant yet it wasn't because of the fact Skarbrand betrayed and attacked him, but for the fact that Skarbrand attacked him while his back was turned and his guard was down like a coward. The irony of Khorne is that in his simplicity you find he is still a very complex being that is as subjective in his values and actions as any other Chaos God...
Khorne is always winning, the perpetual fighting powers him. In all of his art he is pictured sitting on his throne since he need not move to win, when he chooses to move he cleaves planets with his adopted son and chosen champion Angron
No Slaneesh is always winning, because all the chaos Gods do things to EXCESS. But also Tzeentch is winning because everything is changing all the time. But also Nurgle is winning because everything is rotting all the time. See, this argument can be made for all of them.
None of them can win because they are aspects of existence. Humans and Zenos do great harm to each other powering them but left to their own, Chaos gods aren't going anywhere, if they win they won't go anywhere that isn't warp.
That bit always rankled with me too. Old lore explicitly stated that Khorne abhors magic, so by extension shouldn't he abhor the god of it? I can understand his distaste for Slaanesh's pansy-ass perversions of a straight punch-up, but the Prince of Pleasure doesn't quite encapsulate everything Khorne despises quite like Tzeentch. Also, you could draw a much more obvious point of contention between the aesthetic perfection-seeking pretty-boys of Slaanesh and the disgusting rotting plague legions of Papa Nurgle; they're literal polar opposites. So swapping the enmities really would make more sense.
Khorne is one of the more simple gods, but that's probably the allure No need to eternally scheme and play 4-D chess, accept your lot and never change, or eternally escalate activities of sensations to please fickle patrons. You simply grab a weapon, dedicate this fight to his name, and charge at your foe. If you succeed, you can rise in rank. If you fail, your head will join the pile, which isn't the worst thing that can happen if you're stuck in a Gods realm
About Tuska Daemon-Killa - he didn't use weirdboyz to bypass the defences of the Cadian Gate. Instead, he landed his forces on Posan (the extreme-environment training ground for the Astra Militarum in the system) as a warm-up exercise before heading to the Eye of Terror. Cadian Command, after a brief period of time quietly panicking that Tuska was headed towards Cadia - as the last thing they needed was an Ork infestation on top of everything else - decided that as he was making a beeline for the Eye as well as the fact that the Gate's defences being geared towards stopping things coming out of the Eye rather than going in that trying to stop him wasn't worth the effort and let them go past.
"It's alluring to anyone across the galaxy that wishes for more strength to crush their enemies and see them driven before them" Slaanesh wound enjoy hearing the lamentations of their women because Khorne won't.
Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne! Makes perfect sense Khorne would be so powerful & dominant in 40K universe although sadly he would be quite happy with the state of our world Really right when I was about to finally go to sleep? I’m gonna have some violent dreams lol So presume next time we will finish off with Slaneesh, will be cool to listen to that after my weekend plans which I’m sure would empower and impress Slaneesh greatly
I'm gonna make a logial leap here and say that: Khorne may not care whether martial honor was involved in the violence, it strengthens the god in a way that his overall strength actually requires. Honor is a necessary nutrient that he would be weaker not to receive occasionally. Healthy food vs junk food. Something like that. If Khorne had had the insight to appeal to honor, he might've actually turned Rogal Dorn.
He especially enjoys eating such snacks, and drinking the alcohols (distilled from maize and other grains) and highly acidic effervescent "soft" drinks (which are mostly Khorne syrup). Why? Because after eating and drinking even vast quantities, you'll still be hungry and thirsty, if not immediately then in very little time. (He'd also have a penchant for Chinese food, if there was any such place as China left on Holy Terra anymore.) Ultimately, Khorne is a god of dissatisfaction, restlessness, and constant action. As such, he should appreciate this rather unsatisfying comment.
Was just listening to a different story about early doom* development and heard the words "space marines" and immediately had to come to you for the top of top toer WH40K lore and 8 MINUTES AGO!?!?!?! LETS GOOOOO Edit** typed dom not DOOM

ok love your work but can i ask where you got the information? i wanna look in to this myself a bit too clear stuff up. everything ive seen explains khorn as a god of honor even as he is a god of blood and war, far beyond the hoards of mindless demons who kill indiscriminately in his name. its why he gets so angry at the underhanded actions of tzeech, or even his own blood thirsters who would try and stab him in the back. its been a core part of khorn since long before the warp started to become corrupted, and change him in to a more violent god of war. saying that he is not a god of honor, and that its only the outsider cults who claim that is just incorrect as far as ive learned. yes the blood flowing is important, but its too easy to take blood from a helpless child, a crippled old man, or a frail sicly woman, where as blood earned from a fellow combatant or from someone who is your better is a worthy offering to pay attention too. because if he didn't care from where the blood flowed, then any captain of any traitorous ship would be given great blessings from Khorn any time they destroy a city from orbit, or even just from hovering above them.

Finally there's the Tabletop Simulator and all it's mods. I really do not believe someone can honestly say, as a gamer, that there are no Warhammer games they will find enjoyable.
Small note chaos has been around far before humanity, and the previous law that supported it has been Redcond. Current lore states most of the chaos god we’re birthed from the war in heaven
If Khorne has indeed been feeding upon bloodshed since the dawn of *humanity*, then he's a good bit younger than Slaanesh. And it would be neat to associate the four chaos lords with four of the major races, in a way that doesn't really quite work canonically, as only Slaanesh has been directly tied to a species. Tzeench would fit well with the Necrons, who were ancient when the Eldar were young, and Nurgle is probably a good fit for the Orks, though Khorne might be a better one. You could flip them and say humans are Nurgle's counterpart, but it's pretty arguable, as both humans and Orks are pretty good at both slaughter and decay.
I have one nitpick, save Slaneesh all the chaos gods predate humanity's evolution. They arose during the War in Heaven. There are several Eldar mentions of having been guarded against the 'Primordial Annilator' (the eldari collective name for chaos gods) by their own gods during the war. And several civilizations destroyed by chaos corruption also predate humanity by millions of years.
Nurgle was the first god to manifest, Khorne was the 3rd. First came the god of death and decay, Nurgle, after the first creations of the first ones began to die. Then came the lord of change, Tzeentch, when a first one deviated from the path of it's kin. Then came the god of blood and war, Khorne, shortly thereafter, for a change in order inevitably leads to conflict, bloodshed and carnage. And lastly came the prince of perfection, Slaanesh, born from the excess and arrogance of an entire race that was left to pursue their deepest, darkest desires for power and perfection. (All 4 gods are believed to have existed in the warp for time eternal, but their physical bodies didn't manifest until later.)
Khorne does have honor tho, sure theyll just give you a weapon if you dont have one... but he ABSOLUTELY HATES sneak attacks of any kind. Take for example Skarbrand, Skarbrand was tricked by Tzeench into sneak attacking Khorne, Khorne, who was mildly annoyed at one of his most prominent warriors acting like a coward, threw him off of his tower so hard the daemon flew for weeks on end. Skarbrand now takes more skulls for Khorne than he ever did.
Okay, let me keep it real for a moment. When I heard that you were going to start doing warhammer, I was skeptical. Open minded, but skeptical. I guess you could call me something of a 'warhammer hater'. I tried getting into the fandom, the universe, I even read a dozen or so books. But...none of it latched to me, none of it intrigued me. The only reason I had garnered any interest in it was because of Bricky's 'all factions explained' videos. The idea of several factions of several shades of evil, both human and alien, demonic and divine, battling for survival in a galaxy entrenched in war intrigued me. But as I read the novels, got into the fandom, watched several videos, it became increasingly clear that warhammer 40k would be better named 'space marines and imperium 40k', because it seems they're the only things that matter in the entire damned setting. I never found a interesting hour long deep dives into the xenos races, barely found anything about the supposedly thousand or so unique chaos cults, and the faction that I was most interested in-the Eldar-were little more than punching bags. I was skeptical, and unfortunately your videos have confirmed my suspicions. You, like every other channel that has gone into warhammer, are retreading the exact same grounds, the exact same subjects, the exact same themes, over and over again. First the primearchs, than the marines, now the chaos gods and oh let me guess-we're going to get a deep dive into the billions or so totally interesting and totally not bland and boring SPEESH MARINE chapters. I don't think I'll be watching any of your warhammer videos If i'm proven right, because what's the point? a thousand or so other channels have retreaded these grounds. Perhaps if you decided to make a deep dive into the xenos races and the various lesser known aspects of the lore i'd be interested, but you're basically going through the same song and dance that made me quickly bored and tired with the setting.
I'm not a Warhammer fan either, but I'd point out two things: 1) TES has barely started making lore videos on Warhammer stuff. If he DIDN'T cover the general bases first, he'd lose people like me who have NO other context for it. Give him time and I'm sure he'll drive more heavily into the obscure just like with the SCP content. That said, 2) from what I've HEARD from friends who are into 40K, that IS kinda how it is. Everything is written in context of humanity and their fight against, well, everything else. If that's not for you, then ok, but TES is still doing the reasonable and honestly, responsible, thing of laying the groundwork before diving off the deep end
@genlando327plays2 the eldar are literally marketed as the secondary protagonists of the setting and yet are constant punching bags. I call bullshit on your friends.
Khorne hates Slaanesh, yet both of them are basically the same in terms of how likely they are to betray their most loyal followers, to the point that only a moron would devote him/self to such a fickle master.
Ok, so this dude is kind of like Boethiah but also akin to Peryite... in a way. Uncaring about his followers and only focusing on the mindless warpath aspect, basically endless fighting in endless battles and ways to break the monotonous cycle either by wanton bloodshed, or just utter annihilation, but on the other side, war, bloodshed and violence is natural as breathing air, like as a fish swims through water, a sword, lazgun, or orbital bombardment swims through people. That life is hard and if you don't do anything, something will do something to you whether bad or good.
Well he remembers me A lot Bhaal the God of Murder From Forgotten Helms.. I Bet they get the inspiration from hin.. Since its a Lot Older Forgotten Helms and Dungeons & Dragons.
Orks grow larger and stronger with adrenaline. This means those Orks under Khorne’s favor are going to perpetually grow. There will be a day a horde of Orks land on Terra, making the largest titan Humanity has look like an average foot soldier. An immortal Orkish horde. Healing from any wound. Crushing everything in their way. Fueled by the need to return to the conflict that grew them. Terra falls on that day. And it’ll be to the hands of the only Chaos Orks in the galaxy.
Yes he does as an ork named Tuska the Daemon Killa went on a rampage in the eye of terror because he loved fighting daemons. He died to a daemon prince of Khorne and Khorne loved it so much he revived him in his realm and Tuska fights and ies every day to be revived the next day having his best orks life as possible. Also ork worship Gork and Mork so the chaos gods can't really get a hand on the big old mushrooms
Blood for the blood god!

Kreig went from Paradise World to Death World because a rebellion was SUCCESFULLY repressed by the local PDF forces, but the first stage was a massive nuclear exchange that wrecked the biosphere beyond the possibility of repair and left the entire surface lethally radioactive, and then it took CENTURIES to finish the war. I really do not believe someone can honestly say, as a gamer, that there are no Warhammer games they will find enjoyable.
*Revs up those chainswords and chainaxes*
Small note chaos has been around far before humanity, and the previous law that supported it has been Redcond. Current lore states most of the chaos god we’re birthed from the war in heaven
Look up Azariah Kyras' speach, best "Blood for the blood god" I've ever heard
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE
Well done video man
If Khorne has indeed been feeding upon bloodshed since the dawn of *humanity*, then he's a good bit younger than Slaanesh.
Awesome video as always
These should be like an hour long, or more
We need Khorne, now more than ever.
Legend has it the only tree in the blood God's domain is Akhorne
Khorne hates Slaanesh, yet both of them are basically the same in terms of how likely they are to betray their most loyal followers, to the point that only a moron would devote him/self to such a fickle master.
If 80s heavy metal was a place
Somewhere in the warp, the god of milk duds is crossing out "Duds for the Dud god" on a white board.
Wait he’s doing warhammer now?
LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOO
Khorne cares not from where the blood flows
Falalalala lala la la
Quite nostalgic.
That life is hard and if you don't do anything, something will do something to you whether bad or good.
khorne is whitebread as far as "bad gods" go. Might say..he's khornebread..
Heard this guy feels like a freak on a leash sometimes.
KoRn: the lords of angst
It's *Khorn*! (chomp 🌽)
A blood-thirsty god 👹
He has a throne (skulls for skull throne ☠️)
Pound for pound the mightiest entity in the Galaxy.
Well he remembers me A lot Bhaal the God of Murder From Forgotten Helms..
I Bet they get the inspiration from hin..
Since its a Lot Older Forgotten Helms and Dungeons & Dragons.
Tuska the Demon Killa has a fine name indeed, as 'tuska' means pain in finnish.
"Crush their enemy, see them driven before them..." that is what is good in life?
Pretty potentent hatred of magic and trickery
Ten points for Gyrffindor!
im very interested to learn about Khorne, the Lord of Minnesota
About damn time
Great video 😊
Orks grow larger and stronger with adrenaline. This means those Orks under Khorne’s favor are going to perpetually grow. There will be a day a horde of Orks land on Terra, making the largest titan Humanity has look like an average foot soldier.
An immortal Orkish horde. Healing from any wound. Crushing everything in their way. Fueled by the need to return to the conflict that grew them. Terra falls on that day. And it’ll be to the hands of the only Chaos Orks in the galaxy.
It's Khorne... a big dude with skulls... he gets the blood...
Where do nottie slaanesh demons go? - *khorny jail*
Well, I'm wondering how many times blood crops up in your script for this one.
Khorne isn't exactly the most creative is he.
You might even say he's destructive
Is Khorne also the God of dad jokes?
Wait... skulls for the skull throne.... is he just an extreme interior decorator?
You sound like the guy that narrates those SCP document reading videos
Khorne's place sound like an office day for Doom Slayer.
This video would have been so much better if just one of the images was a picture of Jon Davis
Technically shouldn't every single female human in the entire Imperium be a source of power to Khorne for roughly 1/7 of her adult lifespan?
Khorne prefers his blood be procured through more.... stabby means.
The Blood Pact = Heretical Imperial Guard loyal to the Chaos god of war notable for their disapline. I think 🤔
Should look at the Fantasy/AoS side of Warhammer. Tons of interesting characters on that side. Sigmar for one
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!
SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!
Doesn’t the blood pact use gore mages for teleportation and flaming weapons
11:20 of you're an Ork, there is a heaven in 40k!
I mean, did Khorne not know about Orks? I feel like he'd be a longtime fan.
