When doing either 100 or 200hr service I liked pulling the side covers off the mid section and cleaning any salt buildup that’s wasn’t washed off during normal cleaning. Great video.
Way quicker to take the stbd side cover off the bracket section and removing the oil plug. Just make sure to change the gasket 👍🏼 p.s. the blue clip attached to the fuel filter housing is the water detection sensor 😊
Correct. I'd say about every 300 hours would be wise. I just use a soft wire brush to clean off carbon deposits then use feeler gauges to measure the gap clearance is between 1mm-1.1mm.

Our local Yamaha dealer told me it is un-necessary to change your spark plugs every 100 hrs. I bet your spark plugs were totally fine.
